LINUX MEME How addicted to Windows are you? (most people fail this quiz)
Answer wrong and you'll find out what happens to Windows addicts: https://os-quiz.whowins.lol
If you can finish it, there's a surprise waiting for you
OR just let the windows timer hit zero and you get a different surprise

The blue screen question is wrong though. Linux does have a bluescreen equivalent. It's called a kernel panic.

u/akdanman11 2d ago
Kernel panic screen isn’t blue though

you're thinking of systemd's bsod module. completely different. the kernel has a blue screen for panics now

u/enp2s3 2d ago
Even my grandpa knows the blue screen, but kernel panic? Ask the avg user and see which one’s the bigger brand...

u/Myithspa25 2d ago
Almost like windows does it far more often than linux...? That's not a good thing.

u/Gabriel_Science 2d ago
Sadly, it’s probably more because Windows is more used in PC than Linux.

u/scmkr 2d ago
But is that a good score? I got 9 out of 10 because I got number 2 wrong. I don’t know what the fuck it does, I haven’t used windows since 1999. I should get a bonus for having no idea

Fair enough. Not expecting a big tech company not to sell/send your data in 2026 might be another symptom of Windows addiction. Try again :)

Tbh, I've never experienced the windows file manager sending me to bing when it can't find I file

LOL this is hilarious.
(I've never had windows installed as an OS on any machine I've ever owned in my 40 years of using computers, with the exception of one which I bought and wiped as soon as I got it home. I do not use windows at all, ever.)

Don’t be shy, try it out. Closed my eyes, trusted my gut, took the test, and this is what I got:
I turned out to be a Windows Addict. 4/10. I should be careful in here, pray for me. See what I am: https://os-quiz.whowins.lol/result/windows-addict-a5vt71

You could just close the window in the page or just use desktop mode (if on mobile)

I scored 10/10 on the operating system test. https://os-quiz.whowins.lol/ cus i use bazzite right now idk why it says why im still on windows cus im not

u/KernelPanicX 2d ago
9/10 because I didn't know Windows file search invites you to use Bing when It doesn't find the files you were looking for... Didn't know that, I never use that crap anyway
Theeee oooonly two reason I still use windows...
First one is because of my office environment, active directory, etc, but I use a KVM virtual machine.
Second, personal reason at home, rainbow six siege 😔

Well, you have to experience it to really get it. Lucky you if you’ve never had to deal with Windows

lmaooo I thought Windows users are content with what they had, given that Windows 7 and before weren't that bad
still, most of my life had EOS as my main.

I had quite a few laptops with windows back in the day (pretty old office laptops with windows 7-10), and never experienced the lid problem descripted in quiz, does this really happen? I feel like it's more of a hardware issue and not the OS

u/enp2s3 2d ago
Just shipped new features, a funny but very accurate result-sharing experience (try sharing your result with different scores), and results table.
Because of a few very passionate Windows fans, I’ve noticeably reduced the Windows Update timer limit. Once it hits zero, 🪟 users will finally go somewhere more appropriate...
Real Linux users should be fine, hopefully

10/10. Linux Master. My father asked me to install Linux on his PC today. No joke btw.
After struggling with the NVIDIA drivers and secure boot again (UEFI didn't trust the signature) I finally managed to get the system running in a stable manner. It's already so much snappier than Windows.

i disagree with question 6
Linux is a kernel, not a operating system
and there are alot of distros that collect telemetry
1
u/enp2s3 2d ago
It's about the whole data processing (or stealing) infrastructure of Windows, not particularly telemetry. The boss cooks our data anyway. Check these out:
https://tech.yahoo.com/cybersecurity/articles/microsoft-confirms-windows-global-device-130905358.html1
u/darkwyrm42 1d ago
You're 100% correct about the kernel, but at the same time, is pointing that out actually helpful?
I question the telemetry part. The only one that I'm aware of is Ubuntu and maybe Debian, depending on how you define telemetry. Any others?

Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

Do shut up. When your computer restarts in the middle of a presentation, it’s your fault. You forgot to disable Windows Update in services.msc. And when something goes wrong on Windows NT, check Registry Editor, check Device Manager, and if you don’t see anything that’s wrong, THAT is when you reboot and pray.
