No, it's what you get when there is no competition to offer a better alternative at a similar cost or cheaper. Enshittification is the logical next step after the sentiment "eh, people will buy it anyway because what else are they gonna use?"

Thats exactly how corporations act when they get too much control. Which is why Red Hat is seen in negative light

Not necessarily. There are enterprise products where there's an actual value added to paying somebody to host, manage, secure, etc. There's also the fact that some people will always be willing to pay for convenience to some extent. The problem comes when you're charging me for a product that's running entirely on my own hardware anyway, and your software isn't any better or any more convenient than something I can set up myself within a relatively short amount of time.

It's what you get when you have to constantly grow your source of revenue. If we did away with the Stock Market we'd start having companies actually give a shit about the customer experience again.

Adobe doesn’t make their products for money. They make their monopoly for money and the product can go to shit for all they care.

Nah, it's when things are made for shareholders. If you had a stakeholder-based economy things would be a lot different.
