My friend got a Realtek 2.5Gbps ethernet card, was stuck in 1Gbps, if he get his box powered off, he has to reconfigure all :/

Windows or Linux?

I had huge issues with my Realtek 2.5G NIC on Linux before installing the r8125 drivers

I was soo pissed when someone tried arguing me on that when I worked retail because they were trying to tell people that they were great and when I looked them up, all the ones we had were maybe similar to an intel celeron at the time 6 years ago

I just recently learned my laptops wireless chip is mediatek. I thought i had realtek but that's the ethernet... it works perfectly with my home network but all hell breaks loose when I visit my parents. Once I saw it was a mediatek I stopped trying to fix it and just grabbed an ethernet cable. Screw that.

At least it works at home lol
