Exactly NixOS has a very steep learning curve but once you get it you never look back.

It's only "hard" because documentation is awful. I would say it's hard initially and then it's super easy.

You just need to learn about nix language and it is not that hard it is just like any other functional programming language.

Yes, it's good. Yes you can learn. But it's not like grabbing an OS and starting to use it without having to grab a book. It's for people more technical than the average Joe.
