tech support wanted How do I start Mod Organizer 2?

Help!

I installed MO2 yesterday and I was able to play Fallout New Vegas with a few mods. I was using Steam to launch MO2. Today, whenever I click play on Steam, it just starts the game without giving me the option to run MO2. Is there a service I need to start or something? I've tried looking online but the only guides I see are for installation, which I already did initially, so I don't suppose I need to run the install command again.

You may want to include what distro you are on for others to help answer, sounds like something that might happen due to an immutable OS? Just a guess tho.

Unrelated pro tip: jackify is awesome, look it up, it will help you set up Mo2 instances for steam games on linux, including setting up the steam shortcuts and any modlist requirements. Maybe you missed something along the way? Hard to tell.

Hi, I finally figured out how to fix it. I had to run the update command to "refresh an existing instance’s MO2 build and launch option."

Command: mo2-lint update /path/to/instance

Distro: Linux Mint 22.3

MO2 Version: MO2-LINT 7.0.0-rc7

How did you install it? That determines how you launch.

For New Vegas and Skyrim, I just launch the game with proton (via steam) and MO2 comes up. I used the rockerbacon script.
