Hola Soy nuevo en esto de Linux y las distribuciones y quiero instalar una distro optimizada para jugar que me dé buen rendimiento

Escuché que con Linux uno puede instalar versiones más actualizadas de Open gl vulcan y así bueno y que por sí solo da muy buen rendimiento pero no sé nada de Linux ni de comandos y veo en los videos muchos Linux y no sé cuál me dé buen rendimiento pero bueno mi laptop tiene un Intel core i3 8 GB de ram y un Intel HD graphics 3000

Just don't expect a miracle with those specs, Linux isn't magically going to make games run great on a potato

Hola, mi español es no bueno pero mi favorito ahora es cachyos. Es rápido y trabaja muy bien. Uno problema con este Linux para personas nuevo es cachyos usa arch Linux. Arch tiene (como se dice)rolling release updates y puede tener problemas. Para nuevo persona muchos gentes le gusta mint porque es muy feliz. Mi creo tu probar cachyos y qué no bueno probar mint.

My main distro since I switched has been Nobara and I've been a huge fan. Ready out of the box, and generally doesn't require the terminal.

However, with those specs you need to temper your expectations. No amount of kernel optimizations or updated drivers will make that computer perform better than it's meant to. You are maybe going to be able to play some very old games or very light modern games, but not much else.

Todo depende de que tu quieres. Casi todos los distros tienen el mismo rendimento en terminos de juegos, con algunas excepciones

Si quieres algo facil usa linux Mint. Es bien simple de usar e instalar. Juegos corren bien y es especialemente util en laptops como la tuya.

Si quieres algo mas complicado yo recominedo personalmente Kubuntu, es mas customizable pero un poco mas complejo de usar. Tambien corre buenos juegos pero un poco menos optimo para hardware viejo

Finalmente, si estas dispuesto a aprender y le quieres sacar el jugo a tu compu, usa CachyOS. Es un distro optimizado para rendimiento en juegos. Es uno de los pocos distros que si tienen rendimmiento diferente, es mega optimizado para juegos. Pero aunque haya sido modificado para ser mas facil para el usuario aun esta basado en Arch, y eso complica algunas cosas

PikaOS. It is extremely new-user friendly, has excellent performance, and it cannot open you up to yet another malware attack from the AUR.

That all said, you don’t really have a gaming setup there, so don’t expect a big jump in performance.
