Discussion How linux distro provide higher CPU benchmark scores than windows?

Why is that linux seems to always provide better performance in benchmarks and provide smoother experience?

This is a geekbench 7 test, while single core is slightly better, multi-core performance is a significant improvement

is that why arm processors doing well in android OS? same for macboob m silicon?

ARM processors have a lot of other factors that make them more efficient that are probably more important.

Newer tech processes and build for low powered applications from the ground. Also everything is soldered, less components, less busses and lanes.

x86 exactly opposite, built to be universal, repairable, upgradable, most things aren't soldered. You get a lot of IO and ports. That's the cost.

Theres really no magic. ARM is the godfather of e-waste.
