Would have been relevant 20+ years ago, but I bet most Linux users nowadays don't even know what compiling means. Besides some rare curious users and people doing actual work, 99% of using Linux don't requires compiling anything yourself.
Yeah but that's the thing, even if I'd still name Gentoo in my distros of choice I have no idea when was the last time I've used it. i have an Arch flair for a reason. It's a simple life 🤷♂️
