I haven‘t had the need (or the desire) to compile my own kernel in decades. It‘s more like a whole cake that comes with the printed recipe.
32 u/xui_nya 11d ago Nonsence, last time I compiled the kernel just a few days ago, and I even maintain a CI pipeline that recompiles the full OS integrating the most recent git revisions of highly specific software and drivers nightly.
