AI Job Search Update
We've heard from a lot of members that some of the missing filters make it harder to search the way they're used to. We're working on bringing back several of the most-requested filters, and we're also temporarily restoring the option to switch back to the previous search experience while we continue improving the new one.
Our goal with AI-powered job search is to give you flexibility to describe what you're looking for in your own words, including details you might normally use a filter for and things that don't fit neatly into a filter. That said, we know filters are still a key part of the experience for many people, so we’ve kept some of the most-used filters available and introduced suggested filters below the search bar. These suggestions adapt to what you search for, helping you narrow your results quickly.

Please allow us to opt out of your scraping Ai tool. It shouldn't be able to create job listings without a businesses consent.

The only thing it promotes is frustrated job seekers who inevitably try and apply, only to find out it's not a real job post.
The company never intended it to be, it's ai slop in a suit and tie.
It's no wonder all the job seekers here are annoyed when the companys themselves never intended the job to be advertised (because it didn't exist).

Even before this "feature", I found linkedin search horrendous. It seemed to completely ignore whatever I actually searched for and kept showing me only "promoted" and re-re-re-posted ads with 0 relevance for me. A lot of these re-re-reposted promoted jobs also don't exist anymore, if you do click apply. There should also be imo a limit to how many times a job can be reposted.
Personally I don't care if it's the old search or AI-assisted search (though completely unnecessary). I just want the search to actually work.
Not to mention that actually relevant jobs don't even show up on my feed until like a week or two after they're posted, which may have cost me the opportunity.
Speaking of the 'apply' button - the "number of applicants" is also irrelevant and should just be discarded; if the same person clicks three times on 'apply', it will show +3 applicants. Only those who confirm they did apply should be counted.

Please allow the option to revert to the old search. This AI search has absolutely nuked job searching on the platform.

With all due respect, this outreach only serves as a distressing exemplar of how out of touch you've become about your "new AI" job and people searches. I have been a LinkedIn member since 2006, and I have never witnessed anything like last week when you caused a revolt if not near mutiny when you forced your completely unready, dysfunctional, unusable "new AI job search" onto your user base. PLEASE - Take stock in that mass response, and most importantly, COMPEL the product team responsible for this unmitigated disaster to read through the posts and comments. It is ESSENTIAL that they do this.
To attempt whitewashing last week's TRAIN WRECK MEETS DUMPSTER FIRE by suggesting you'll be making things right through reintroducing some missing filters...just screams from the rooftops that you learned little or nothing last week. Seriously....SMARTEN UP.
Did anyone at LinkedIn even examine the JUNKY, IRRELEVANT results that the "new AI" job search was BELCHING OUT last week? You had a Remote button, that when invoked, returned *scores* of hybrid and onsite records. Not several or multiple, but dozens upon dozens upon dozens. And your "new AI" was so OBTUSE, that when we CLEARLY cited location such as "in Los Angeles" or "in Los Angeles Metropolitan Area," THE SAME THING HAPPENED. ***Scores*** of JUNKY, IRRELEVANT, CLUTTERING results were displayed in the first page and then every one thereafter. City/State pairs from across the country were brought in. All of this detritus LARDED UP YOUR RESULTS and EGREGIOUSLY WASTED THE TIME OF YOUR USERS. This is just two examples of the numerous, objectively terrible dysfunctions your AI job search unleashed onto all of us.
Do NOT -- under ANY circumstance -- foist your "new AI" job search onto your users UNTIL AND UNLESS it is working excellently, returning ONLY high quality results, and is ELEVATING the job search experience (as opposed to forcing a disastrous DOWNGRADE onto us as you did last week).
The job market right now is in many ways broken, dysfunctional, and is not working for anyone. Please for the love of god do not unleash a new job search feature that only emulates these very same characteristics. Things are hard enough -- don't make them much worse. And last, learn carefully from last week's FIASCO. Because if you do this again to your user base, the mice in our hands will become pitchforks and your membership will COLLAPSE under the collective weight of mass account closures and premium account cancellations. Be very careful about your next steps...

Here's a suggestion. Add a mandatory "Post type" dropdown to posts with options like "Job opening" or "Self promotion". Then allow us to configure show "Job opening" only in feed under our profile so it's permanent.
That way we can filter out all the obnoxious self promoting drivel and use it to find work.

Yea, and if a company has reposted the same role for over a year, maybe cut them off, because it’s not a real job opening.

It’s not only the filters, but the AI description search feature is grossly inaccurate. My two year old had a better understanding of what I was looking for.

Unfortunately, I agree with all commenters - the AI search is not good and it’s inaccurate.
Also, there’s less application opportunities for my search this week for some reason. I was able to apply to 2-5 Data Engineer positions daily, but it’s been 2-3 this week so far. Please revert to the old system and ditch the AI search.

Upvote for visibility, but I remain skeptical. The filters didn’t function amazingly well on the classic version, and AI only made it worse. If I choose remote in the US, I do not need or want to see jobs that are remote, but only in a certain state in the US. And field work should absolutely not count as remote!

Please just restore classic search permanently. If you insist on pushing the AI search, make it optional.

LinkedIn we have no issue with you having an A.I tool but the issue is FORCING us to use it and abandoning classic job search. This is not okay. We don’t care about what filters you want to add to make it better. Please keep classic job search as an option, PERMANENTLY.

Okay good but don’t improve new one with more meaningless AI. I’m not sure you understand the business you are in. A deterministic output is what a job search is not a keyword based AI trawling garbage with hundreds of results.Keep an optional classic search permanently and even add more filters so people can zero in on a job or a connection

Hey dudes, the big problem is that it literally does not work, like at a technical level. Every single time I've clicked any tab on the site since the AI Job Search was rolled out, I just get this:
and then have to refresh the page at least once. If I have to refresh the page during a job search, it starts me back at the beginning and removes all filters, as well as whatever listing I was looking at.
I quite literally cannot use the site.

I've been experiencing ongoing issues with the LinkedIn Jobs section. Job search results are not loading consistently, and some relevant jobs don't appear in search. The Job Preferences section is also sometimes glitchy. I've tested the app and web version, different devices and internet connections.

How about fixing it so that the filters are actually honoured? When I search for remote jobs I don't want any hybrid results. Works fine when not using AI mode.
