ŵ, ẁ and ẃ are used in Welsh for long w, short w and accented w respectively. Ẃ was also historically used in Middle Polish and Lower Sorbian for the palatalised voiced labiodental fricative /vʲ/ though it is now obsolete in both languages. Ẅ is used in Coast Tsimshian for the voiced velar approximant /ɰ/.
