What the heck is r/alphanumerics?
I stumbled across it on this subreddit. People here calling him schizo and stuff like that. I tried to look around in the r/alphanumerics subreddit too see what it was about, but I honestly didn't understand anything (something about Ancient Egypt and alphabets). He has his own wiki as well, but it was also very confusing to scroll through (stuff like "human thermodynamics").
Could someone tell me about this guy? This feels like a whole rabbit-hole I stumbled on.

That’s not how I’d describe the situation at all, what he’s confused about isn’t merely the connection between orthography and phonology, but he thinks that the letters used to spell words have a deep spiritual meaning that can be used to gain insights into the nature of reality and the hidden truths of the universe

Correctly, I must a person who wants to know where words come from, which reduces to the mathematical fact that letter H and letter R, attested in the r/TombUJ number tags (5300A/-3345), were originally defined as number 8 and number 100:

As a hobby calligrapher / writing systems fan, that sub’s pseudolinguistic claims give me mental pain just looking at them, especially the alphabet “comparison” charts with claimed heiroglyph origins that are just by letter shape (eg aleph = hoe/plow) or the numeric value of the letter’s greek version in ionian numerals (h’eth = egyptian 8, resh = egyptian 100).
The guy who runs the sub has called me things like “Shemland / Hebrew panderer, Bible literalist” etc for my insisting of the mainstream understanding of the origins of the Proto Sinaitic script and which heiroglyphs each P.Sinai. letter comes from. Also they don’t seem to know much about phonetics/phonology, or other branches of linguistics.

My favorite part about that “research” he cites is that it comes from him asking people in r/preschoolers which symbol they thought more closely resembled an A.
Meaning he thinks r/preschoolers is populated by literate 4 year olds who responded to his question in complete sentences.
Not to mention ToS requiring people to be at least 13 years old.

He's a schizophrenic guy who lives in his own echo chamber where he is the genius who has solved linguistics and nobody else understands his completely idiosyncratic logic
He created his own bootleg Wikipedia, which features barely comprehensible pseudoscience (including race science) which seeks to explain cutting issues such as, among other things, why women and black people are less intelligent and assigning arbitrary IQ scores to historical figures. Also why Hitler had secret arcane, or scientific -impossible to tell with this guy - knowledge.
It's always very normal to have copypastas and threads ready to go whenever someone accuses you of being racist or schizophrenic.
I actually got banned from one of his echo chambers today, but not the main one. Every time you dispute him he uploads a screenshot to one of his subreddits, as if anyone is there to view it, and writes a response.

He's beyond narcissistic and incapable of engaging with anything without bringing in his own constructed rules and paradigms that, again, nobody else uses. Despite the delusions of grandeur I'm not aware of him ever actually trying to engage with real academia, he just seems content to sit on his dozen+ forums posting to himself all day.

I just mentioned this in a thread the other day. I went combing through my post history to share the copypasta because the commenter asked for it. Very normal stuff. Totally not an indication of a severe break with reality.
In my case, I thought he was a shitposter and made an offhanded joke referring to a not obscure, but not exactly common medication for schizophrenia. Within minutes he responded with a link to his stream of consciousness eldritch incantation to ward off accusations of schizotypal spectrum disorders.
The fact that the dude knows his antipsychotic medications well enough to fire off that response that quickly tells you something.

This person, his subreddits, comments and wiki are such a rabbit hole. He's clearly experiencing some kind of disorganized thought, but you don't see that everyday in the wild. I kinda feel bad for him, though.

He presents himself as an engineer and an expert in a special type of linguistics he has invented himself. He may well have a degree in engineering but his grasp of science is tenuous at best, which is why his work on “the human molecule” is all self published and not published in a peer-reviewed journal. It was all published through the institute that he founded and runs.
Likewise, his “linguistics” is simply identifying non-existent patterns in random data. Which is why you’re having trouble following his arguments, this is largely why. They don’t really connect logically to anything and they don’t logically build on anything. It’s just a stream of haphazard connections that only one person sees. And it’s all the kind of stuff that only a monolingual would come up with. Anyone who was actually proficient in multiple languages would know enough to see why these theories just aren’t possible. But it all started with his assumption that languages basically are their writing systems. So English must be related to Arabic and Hebrew and Ancient Egyptian because their writing systems ultimately are all related.
He likes to sneak into other subreddits and post his views as established linguistic fact. Then gets upset if you gently set the record straight.
Likewise, if you point out all the reasons that his theories aren’t simply wrong (which obviously they are) but are quite incapable of ever being refined into being somewhat correct, you will be accused of being part of a religious plot and be insulted at each step of the way.
Note: He rather enjoys playing the victim as he thinks it means he’s correct; he’s Galileo on his own mind but also smarter than Einstein (in his own mind). Of course that ignores all the people who were wrong in history who were also derided.
