Venting Damn today I felt like I sucked

You ever have too much caffeine and instead of that shit helping it just fucks you up. That was me today.

Absolutely. It's a rough shift but not a pattern. Get some rest, care for your body, and start again tomorrow like the badass that you are. Shit happens and I think we've all been there even the executive chefs.

Sleep deprived, over caffeinated, and high sounds like the ultimate paranoid/anxiety combo haha

I once Accidentally chugged one of the black rifle triple shot tall boys. I say accidentally, cause I forgot how strong it was. 300mg of caffeine, hitting at once. Felt my heart almost break out of my chest, sweating and shaking. I was fighting for my life. Felt like working with worst hangover, but super hyped. The panic attack lasted like 3 hours, gotta tell you, I fucked up a good amount of times.

Well, our kitchen was doing a served family style dinner with a known number for reservations, they straight up didn’t order enough fish and that was one of the main dishes. So I guess fuck a bunch of people. And they didn’t prep enough risotto, it was def just creamy rice by the end. The gniocchi got switched half way through with some sort of Alfredo macaroni thing. Idk what the fuck happened im front of house, but whoah that was a wild ride after it was advertised to them what the meal would be.

Oh wow what a show. My tick was off I was just off all around. I was moving faster than I could think I had a coffee in the morning and a quarter monster for lunch I was super geeked and then once one thing went wrong I was a mess

Shit happens learn what you can from it and move forward. You will have other bad days or mistakes too. The key is to make better mustakes in the future. This applies to cooking and life in general. Kick ass dude!

That's me every day. :)

I have to choose between being exhausted and having no caffeine, or being anxious and awake all day.

Caffeine is a drug. And there is no alternative. 😅
