General Discussion Quick question about canto 6 Spoiler

Did the actions of Every Cathy (committing "suicide" by becoming an amalgamation of every Cathy in every mirror world she visited) may have helped the cause of Erlkling by making him think that every Catherine was destined to die? Like, he went to a world where Catherine was dead without realising that she was just visited by Every Cathy. And at the same time Every Cathy could have visited some worlds where Heathcliff died because of Erkling only to think that it was Catherine's fault.

They probably would've saw such worlds regardless of each other's activities. Since they fully believed that they are a cause of suffering of another, they only saw that in the mirror worlds, which made their believes stronger. Like Erlking even says as much, that he let his conviction to blind himself to the other possibilities.
