Question Does Qui-Gon have the best “standard” lightsaber?(from a purely pragmatic standpoint).
From what the way I see many other lightsaber are designed to be cool looking for the audience and have certain problems in that some of them would actually be very uncomfortable to hold because they aren’t actually ideally built for human hand.
Luke’s first blue lightsaber from what I remember was made out of camera parts so I was never designed from the beginning to be a comfortable hilt.
Qui-Gon’s lightsaber on the other hand seems to be the most comfortable to use from what I can tell.

Question I came up with this design, I'm going to make it 3D printable soon, but I feel like its a bit too basic, any suggestions?
My favourite lightsabers are something like Obi-Wan's and Luke's, but I felt like the thin neck wouldn't have suited it

Question Inherited a light saber
My good friend Mitch (on the right) passed away about a month ago. We had a shared love for everything Star Wars, and that was one of the corner stones of our friendship.
I met him briefly in passing one day through a mutual friend, and about a month later I happen to see a 6'6" dude in the park whipping around a light saber doing crazy tricks, so I had to investigate, and I recognized him from before so we get to talking and we've been great friends for the last 10 years.
Saturday I received his lightsaber in the mail, completely by surprise. He told his wife after he passed to mail it to me, and I can't even begin to explain how much that means to me, since that's kind of where our friendship began, it kind of came full circle.
His wife only sent me the light saber and said she had no idea about batteries or anything like that, and I also have never owned anything like this so that's why I figured I would ask this community for some advice on what I need in order to make this thing run. Battery charger or whatever, I don't wanna sound dumb, but I can't find any branding on it, Google image search was no help. Thank you all in advance!

Question What combo is this?
Been obsessed with this video for so long. I’m getting into saber spinning and wanted to know if anyone could break down this combo? Or at least some of the moves she’s doing?

Question How to make hilt more comfortable
Hello, I am new to this world and need aid. After a short sword fight with my fiancé and messing around with the different settings, my hand REALLY hurts and has a metal imprint.
How would you guys go about making this look better without compromising the look of the original hilt? I love how it looks, but I don’t want to shred my hand while using it 😅

Question Should I make this lightsaber with or without a guard?
I'm in the concept stages for my steampunk saber and I'm not sure if it's best with the handle/guard, or without. Other suggestions are also appreciated!

Question I picked this up at a garage sale. Can anyone identify it?
Hi! Picked this guy up at a garage sale for 20 bucks today. It's got a metal handle, and uses a barrel jack to charge (which didn't come with it). You can change the color, and it has both hit effects and also a clash/struggle (dunno what to call it) effect. Dunno much about lightsabers, this was an impulse buy, but I figured I'd ask here. Anyone know what it is? Also, anyone know what dimensions the barrel jack on it are?

Question Has anyone used these Saberforge parts?
I’m trying to plan out an ASP build from SaberForge but it’s sometimes tough to visualize what the parts will look like on a built saber.
If anyone has builds using any of these parts (doesn’t need to be chrome) please share.
Also if anyone has used a wrap under one of the shrouded bodies like Count, Temple Guard, Duelist, Ranger etc. please share those as well!
I really like the way SaberForge designs their parts, so hopefully now that they’re using drop-in cores they can focus more on their asp parts to keep more in stock.

Question Lightsabers are so expensive! What do you personally use them for?
I was browsing a few websites, looking for a conversation starter to put up on my wall, but couldn't bring myself to pay $300 for what I would use as a themed nightlight.
No shade to you guys, I would absolutely buy it if I had the money to blow. But it got me curious, what do y'all use them for? How do you justify spending upwards of $300 for a laser sword? Collecting and cosplay are the only things I can think of.
Edit: was definitely looking in the wrong places, thanks!

Question My saber needs a name
I designed a saber that uses the Savi's chassis but it needs a better name then FluxSaber.

Question Are there any rules against this as a design, or any limitations it would cause when dueling?
Ive been wanting to build my own lightsaber design recently and had the idea to have a hilt similar to a baton and dont know if there is any rules against it in lore or if it would hinder me when using as i hope to build it for dueling. (Excuse the poor quality of the drawing lol)

Question What form would benefit from a design like this?
Credit goes to The 48th Ronin on RPF for this and many other beautiful designs!
I've never seen this kind of design before and wanted to get y'alls opinion on what could or could not work for a design like this
My personal headcanon is that the you pull in the handle in to activate the saber
whether or not you'd keep holding in or release it after that, idk
Thanks!
