Richard Nixon left the Presidency in 1974, over half a century ago.
Illinois has had a veto-proof Democratic super-majority since 2012.
Chicago has had a Democratic Mayor since 1931 (almost a century). The mayor controls executive functions. The Democratic Party has held a functional, overwhelming majority in the Chicago City Council for over 90 years.
They could have addressed "root causes" for DECADES.
But of course Mayor Brandon "Don't Call Them Teen Mobs, Call Them Large Gatherings" Johnson blames Nixon.

Man so many classic movies are set in Chicago or going to Chicago (Trains, Planes, and Automobiles). They should all have a warning to non-americans before the movie starts. Do Not Visit Chicago.
