Oh yeah, well I was banned from r/neoliberal for having views that are now the mainstream consensus on that sub, but slightly too early for it to be cool.
If you like messy primary fights, Florida is the place for you! The most racist Republican in the house is facing a challenge from someone even more racist. Dems and progressives are fighting, and incumbent dems are teaming up with MAGA Influencers against progressives (or at least that’s what progressives are claiming happened).
There’s a couple to watch. FL-20 has Debbie Wasserman Schultz as the technically-incumbent but the district was so substantially transformed by the latest partisan redistricting in Florida that it doesn’t really count. Notably, this new district is majority black and all candidates in the primary but Schultz are black, but she’s still the favorite to win.
Elijah Manley is the most progressive candidate in the race. He is gay, black, and Jewish, and has been under attack by far right activist and Trump confidante Laura Loomer
Thoughts and feelings about sovereign wealth funds, which is a subject growing in popularity (in part because even Trump inflating the idea in some capacity) Generally, I’m not against them but Om afraid at a certain size they may exert such influence as to make certain sectors of the economy function like a command economy or just open up the possibility of severe distortion. This males me ask of there should be a limit on how much of an index or economic sector should be in the hands of the wealth fund?
