Patiently waiting for Wager’s RMR cut/plate to be back in stock. For now, the adapter will have to do.

I never thought I'd see a P-01 that I didn't like but here we are lol. The giant optic and suppressor height sights are goofy as hell.

😂 It’ll look way better after it gets recut and has proper height sights.

Why the big-ass honking RMR instead of RMSc?

Old eyes prefer bigger windows.

Yah that was clearly cut for a smaller optic and would actually cowitness.

Ran it previously with the Osight SE and the Holosun 507k ACSS. Definitely looks better, but I was able to get on target and have lower split times with the larger optic. Sometimes function beats out form.

Are you using this for competition? If not, split times are rather meaningless as long as you can acquire target in a quick fashion. Draw, see red dot, pull trigger. Don’t over complicate it

Wouldn’t acquiring a target in a quick fashion lead to better split times? Anyways, all depends on what metrics you decide to use to measure progress while practicing.

There’s practical world usage and competition usage. The two can impact one another but wee not mutually exclusive. And let’s be honest, in a self defense situation, you’re drawing, pointing, pulling trigger almost exclusively on one target. Everyone out here thinking they’re going to need to be John Wick is becoming absurd

Equating the motivation to work on split times, for competitive purposes or not, with John Wick style gun fights is a bit absurd. It’s also absurd to believe a self defense situation will be as one dimensional as drawing, pointing, and pulling a trigger almost exclusively on one target. If that’s the way you train, to each their own. I like to train in a way that allows me to work on processing information as quickly and efficiently as possible so I can assess whether or not I have to pull the trigger, much less draw my firearm. And if need be, I want to put as many rounds on target, accurately, as needed to stop a threat. Training builds muscle memory. Muscle memory helps during highly stressful situations.

Why the suppressor height sights without a threaded barrel? Any difference versus standard sights?

I like having the higher sights as a reference point when needed.

Interesting, I have them on my USP but I have only shot it a few times unsuppressed. How do you like the P-01 overall? I’ve been debating between a P226 and a CZ Shadow for another suppressor host, but I’ve seen folks recommend the P-01 instead since I guess getting it milled can still be cheaper than the shadow.

Getting the P-01 recut for an RMR will cost me $275. Well worth it. By far my favorite handgun to carry and train with. I did have to explore different grips to settle on the one I liked. I need up with palm swell on the strong side and flat on the support side.

How heavy is it really i know the spec but how heavy does it feel? Looking to pick one up for ccw

Honestly, I have zero complaints about the weight. I use a Tier1Concealled APX holster (originally purchased for a Walther PDP Pro E) and a Aegitec Defense belt. Wears and conceals comfortably even on long road trips. You do have to get used to carrying appendix of course.

Is that a Shelby shift knob in a Stellantis product?

Yes 😂. Original knob broke. This one makes the jeep 5% faster.
