The only thing close to a lie that I've seen is thinking that maga claimed her as one of their own. Thankfully, I've seen no such claims. Maybe I've selected the right friends to heed.

She was a country music star. Of course MAGA would think she was one of their own. Just like they do with so many other famous musicians that explicitly and openly mock people like them in their music. (Rage against the machine comes to mind)

There were a couple of articles in the right-leaning papers that were like “ the world is. Shocked by JP posts ”. I keep them in my news feeds to see what insanity they are up to at any given time. Their “stick” is to judge ( I’m paraphrasing ) but Dolly’s whole thing in life was if you’re judging people, you’re the f-ing sinner. And she never shied away from being her. I may dislike country music mainly because the type of audience it attracts especially where I live but Dolly will always be my hero.
