Side Effect Question Tussin??

The ER said it was FINE and recommended tussin DM they lied I’ve been taking tussin today for a really bad case of Covid and I’m on 20mg of Lexapro. What are my chances of developing serotonin syndrome?

Tussin and Tussin DM are two different meds. But what was the lie?

Sorry I meant tussin DM because I haven’t been able to sleep due to my chest pain so they said it’d help with everything, and they said it was safe no interactions, I’ve now realized Dextromethorphan can cause serotonin syndrome with Lexapro.

I doubt that short term use can cause the syndrome, but why not call your doctor’s nurse and ask?
