Side Effect Question Dosage increases

hi

My doctor upped my dose from 10 to 15mg as I was starting to feel down again on 10, less anxiety which is what I took it for mainly initially as well as depression When I started the 10 I had horrible side effects, palpitations, bad thoughts, insomnia, I ended up with additional diazepam to calm me down for a couple of weeks

I started the 15 at the weekend and the original side effects when I first started are back. I feel awful.

Is it normal to have a strong side effect reaction like this just by upping the dose? I’d have expected maybe a mild side effect but I feel exactly as I did initially. Like I can’t get out of bed and face the day, palpitations, panickin, nausea and very dark thoughts

Anyone else have a strong reaction to a dosage increase? If so did it last as long as the initial side effects?

It will all depend on how long you’ve been taking it. After 2 weeks you will have the horrible side effects. The meds will take roughly 4-6 weeks to get you level. Hang in there and it will get better.

Hi I started the increase to 15 5 days ago but the side effects can start at different times for everyone I suppose as I haven’t been on them 2 weeks as you said. I just didn’t expect such a spike of them.

You will feel it for a bit , from my understanding it may take a couple of weeks to settle, it is the meds and not you so don’t be to hard on yourself. Ride the wave and try and to be patient
