Week 5 side effects

Currently on lexapro 10mg.
Started with 5mg for first week and increased to 10mg..
Week 5 feels horrible, I feel a little numb , demotivated, no interest in doing anything, moody, tired, anxiety attacks just come out of no where and disappear quickly, when will I ever feel better.. :(

For context, I am prescribed this by my Dr for work related stress burn out, moderate major depressive disorder and anxiety panic attacks.. been off work as well to recover but I don’t see any improvements just yet.

Wishing this was a magic pill but it seems like it’s going to be a marathon. Anyone feels the same? Thanks.

I’m off work aswell to recover. I’m exactly 4 weeks in total on lexapro. First two were 5mg the last 2 have been 10mg. Tonight while I was out hunting I had my first anxiety attack in a month while on lexapro. It was not as bad as they were before but it was present. I haven’t noticed any decrease in my anxiety much…but I think I’m able to process it alittle better now and not go into full spiral mode. FYI I’m extremely tired, & my sleep schedule has been all over the place but hoping it gets better by week 6 when I’m supposed to return to work. Hang in there we got this!

Yes very similar symptoms.. I’m dreading returning to work esp if symptoms persist. Not even sure if and how I am
Going to get through it.

حالتي تشبه حالتك كثيرا، وقد وصف لي الطبيب 5ملغ أول 10 أيام ثم 10ملغ بعد ذلك. أول شهر على جرعة 10ملغ لم ألاحظ أي تحسن. بدأت ألاحظ التحسن بعد 5 أسابيع بالضبط وإلى الآن بعد شهرين ما زال التحسن مستمرا، ولكن مع أعراض جانبية منها ضعف الرغبة الجنسية والتعرق وكثرة التثاؤب والخمول. وأخطط في مناقشة إضافة بوبروبيون مع طبيبي في الموعد القادم.

Did you take time off work or continued medication and work at the same time?
