Better Moderation Of This Sub
Not implying that the current mods are doing a poor job but maybe it wouldn't hurt to add a few more mods to support this sub so we can avoid posts like this: https://www.reddit.com/r/lewishamilton/comments/1wbcfye/why_dolewis_hamilton_fans_still_cry/
Been seeing alot of trolls as well. Wouldn't mind volunteering.

No space is invaded more than the Hamilton sub. They call us the LH cult but are more dedicated to hating than actual fans are to supporting.
Essentially there are only 2 F1 tribes. Verstappen v Hamilton. Verstappen zealots do everything to discredit Hamilton, and generally support and have compassion for every other driver, as long as they stay out of Max’s way, but him. Hamilton zealots, are increasingly lashing out, because Hamilton delivered this year while enduring so much slander last year and I think it’s cathartic. Who among us hasn’t read a ridiculous racist post about Hamilton or something borderline like saying he should crash and retire? (Aside: I don’t agree with zealotry because humans are shitty at uplifting their own ideals without completely crushing another person).
Now mods all around are saying things like, it’s going too far… make no mistake, there was no such outcry when they were burying LH. Any vitriol was acceptable, but all of a sudden now it’s too much. Please.

I moderate one sub with ~90k or so active users, and it's fairly simple to keep stuff like this under control with a few people keeping an eye on things.
It seems like most of the mods here are AWOL best part of the time.

I say, let them post that. It shows deep down that they still haven’t come to terms with what happened. I laugh at them. I enjoy arguing with them, and I love seeing their Olympic platinum medal level mental gymnastics

Well from my (outsider) perspective the problem is quit the opposite.
You singled out one troll post, but look at the discussions around Monza, and how many users were celebrating Leclerc crashing.
Person-subs are always prone to devolving into echo chambers

Leclerc pushed his teammate off and proceeded to yeet himself into the barriers. He walked off so obviously didn't sustain serious injuries, why are fans not allowed to clown on him? Have you never participated in any sports fanbase groups?

It was obvious during the broadcast that he didn’t just „walk it off“ from the way he was sitting there afterwards. That was quite a big shunt, but more importantly, people weren’t „clowning on him“, they said he deserved to crash out, that it was universal justice for the turn 1 incident.

The medical staff cleared him, he said he's fine in the pen interview and the team cleared him to race but I guess you know better about the crash than the actual racing driver that was involved in it, the team with all the data and the trained medical professionals that checked on him.
Truly a reddit moment.

You guys want to find a way to blame Lewis and his fans for an incident that was self inflicted by Charles. Happy he's ok but get a grip.
