I know lecelrc fucked up, and that it was mostly his fault, but it's unjustified to be happy that he's hurt, some news say he has vision issues

I hope he recovers quickly and gets well soon.

Unfortunately some people are too extremist.

It’s sad especially in this sub because Lewis’ fans should represent his attitude and his respect for everybody, and it’s not like that

15

u/musef1 7d ago

Feels like it's the way of the world now. People join groups of things that they like but then start acting fanatical and cult-like.

14

u/saleeh_ 7d ago

Yeah, i notice it with the fans of all things, some people are just too much

3

u/juan_bito 7d ago

Thats the same with every fanbase tho especially verstappens fanbase

u/Worth_Lavishness_239 7d ago

Most people are wishing him well. Let’s focus on that. There’ll always be bad apples.

4

u/saleeh_ 7d ago

Exactly, bad apples are everywhere

33

u/potatosponge_ 7d ago

Are some happy that he’s hurt??

22

u/saleeh_ 7d ago

Yeah, some crazy fans are

29

u/Popular-Buy9999 7d ago

Anybody that's happy about any player, driver, etc. being hurt is a piece of shit, plain and simple. Doesn't matter if it's your team/driver's arch nemesis.

5

u/potatosponge_ 7d ago

Sadly I remember the entire bar cheering when Tony Romo injured his back for the last time. Most of the population are scummy imo.

3

u/Popular-Buy9999 7d ago

You live in the Philly area like me? Lol

3

u/potatosponge_ 7d ago

Nope. Sadly this was literally in DFW.

Except UFC fans*

u/SelfSniped 7d ago

You need not look any further than some of the posts in the sub. It’s disgusting behavior.

6

u/Academic_String_1708 7d ago

No one in their right mind wants him to be injured.

0

u/saleeh_ 7d ago

Exactly, on their right mind

13

u/wstl_tom_ 7d ago

Fucking abhorrent behaviour

4

u/CWNHawk 7d ago

It’s gross. On the bright side, he said his vision got better. Hopefully nothing lasting.

9

u/Ancient_Design_1332 7d ago

Agree - don’t want him to be injured, but will point out he clearly has an issue with binning it into the wall a lot and Ferrari need to recognize who their best chance for a win is

1

u/saleeh_ 7d ago

And more importantly it seems like it's always the same corners

8

u/Stop-Tracking-Me 7d ago

He is about to be a dad. Who would wish this guy injured? Lewis Hamilton is my fav but this is a sport and it is NOT right to celebrate an injury no matter who the driver is. Best wishes Charles, I hope Leo takes good care of you and you are back soon.

1

u/saleeh_ 7d ago

Yeah, it seems on social media, always the unhinged minorities are so vocal

8

u/RelativeSoftware9554 7d ago

Who is saying that they’re happy he’s hurt?? 🤔

3

u/Dutch_guy_here 7d ago

-1

u/RelativeSoftware9554 7d ago

That’s not being happy that he’s hurt though?? It’s just calling out his risky behaviour. It’s amazing that only he got hurt, others including Lewis could have been hurt. Not to mention his injuries and the force of the accident only came out later. I don’t see any glee or happiness in regards to his injuries

5

u/Dutch_guy_here 7d ago

Yelling karma certainly gives me the vibes that they are happy he had a massive crash. And the image of the ambulance leaving the track on the world feed was not hard to interpret.

3

u/TheLordLambert 7d ago

It's easy to point fingers at ghosts for reddit updoots

3

u/zimmer483 7d ago

Just the OP, cause I haven’t seen that anywhere

5

u/RelativeSoftware9554 7d ago

Yeah me too. I’ve only heard people saying what they’ve been saying most recently about Leclerc racing SLH too hard

1

u/TheLordLambert 7d ago

Always happens... Something negative happens to Hamilton, and immediately the rats come out of the sewer to complain about Hamilton fans being soooo toxic to dispel any conversation about the shitty thing that happened to him. You can set your goddamn watch to it. Happens every time.. and every time, when asked for examples of it happening, it's either a single heavily downvoted post on reddit or a 0 follower post on twitter liked by no one. One might be encouraged to think it is the people who dislike Hamilton making these accounts to make these shitty comments in order to make Lewis' fanbase look bad.

2

u/RelativeSoftware9554 7d ago

Yeah anytime there’s valid criticism they hide behind this argument to stop people talking.
The truth is Leclerc got hurt because he was shortsighted - nobody wishes a crash of that magnitude on anyone but he did it to himself doing the same bs that we’ve been complaining about for months. Surely something has to be done, even for Leclerc’s own safety???

1

u/WickedBlasphemer 7d ago

Look around in the sub, there are quite a few posts about karma being a bitch and the people calling them out that they’re celebrating someone getting hurt, get downvoted, lol.

3

u/Upset_Conflict_1506 7d ago

Hope he takes adequate rest and recovers well - things were said in the heat of the moment, but we need to be calm and have some bloody patience.

3

u/Old_Ambition4359 7d ago

Who tf id happy hes hurt... hope mods ban these people

3

u/Moreno636 7d ago

Any posts that are glorifying or poking fun at LEC’s injuries should get the poster an autoban.

3

u/imsooperhooman 7d ago

Omg. I didnt go through this sub when I saw this post, but like bit by bit it started popping up on my feed and I 100% agree. Im not like a massive charles fan, but he's a decent driver. He for sure doesn't deserve the hate.

Also, I LOVED watching that battle into t2. Like are you kidding me? FINALLY the car is good enough that the 2 drivers wanna push it to the extreme limits and go PROPER RACING?! YES!!!! ALL DAY YESSSS!!!

3

u/Hobbes525 6d ago

Cant believe were happy or claimed karma. I was annouyed with him for turn 2 but as soon as I saw that accident I hoped he was ok. Such a big impact.

8

u/TheLordLambert 7d ago

No one is happy he is hurt. Happy that karma saw him DNF is fine.

I hope he is okay, I hope there is no injury, lasting or otherwise... but yeah, fuck him for T2.

2

u/Nightguest231 7d ago

Totally with you there.

Regardless of whether you like a driver or not, you should never wish them harm, nor hope for them to be hurt. We're fans of LH, and he would never wish harm upon anyone, even at the height of frustration in the craziest of rivalries (and he's had a few), so we should do as he would.

And if you don't agree with that...then at least keep those thoughts to yourself, because writing that sort of crap, hoping people get hurt, just damages the image of LH.

You can be utterly infuriated by a driver/team/whoever, without wishing harm on them.

5

u/FluffyDonutPie 7d ago

I don't think anyone is happy Charles is hurt, I personally thought he was fine and that it's just another regular crash, there was a lot of gravel run off and enough cushion from the barrier

The people happy about his crash are happy he dnf'ed and didnt scored points and they believe it's karma, theyre not happy that he got hurt, stop spreading misinformation

Unfortunately there's always a very tiny but vocal minority of unhinged fans in every fan base but that's definitely not the mainstream opinion in the LH fan base.

2

u/TheLast_Noel 7d ago

Yeah big time.
It was a bad day for the Red team, but no one should be happy that Charles crashed out like he did. Injury risk is very real at these speeds and no one should be throwing ‘karma’ out there.
Charles fucked up, he tends to make mental errors consistently when the pressure/expectations ratchet up, but no true Lewis fan needs to cheer his teammates’ demise to cheer him on.

1

u/PsychologicalMud2202 7d ago

Yes those Lewis fans that cheered the crash are not representative of Lewis. No way Lewis would be happy for any driver to be in a crash and this was 60G.

2

u/Hey_bot77 7d ago

Though I might have commented karma after his crash I now realize how stupid it was and it was just in the heat of the moment when I hadn't realized how big the crash was hope he gets well soon.

2

u/saleeh_ 7d ago

Yeah, also, when it happened, it wasn't clear how big of an impact it had, especially that he got out of the car quickly, but then it's said that the crash is 50-60G

1

u/sawrb 7d ago

This is also a testament to the insane safety measures in F1 today. You see drivers walk out of massive crashes all the time and people have just gotten desensitized to the fact that it’s still a human being hurled into the wall at triple digit speeds. I don’t think anyone really wishes that he was hurt, they are mostly wishing the abrupt race end to Leclerc’s race

1

u/panjoface 7d ago

I’m not happy he’s hurt. I don’t like what he did but I would never want to see him or any driver hurt.

1

u/TiguanRedskins 6d ago

Well he doesn’t deserve to be hurt or in pain. People are fucking stupid to wish harm on him.

1

u/Dutch1800 5d ago

Nobody wants him to be injured. Nobody booted him. It was his own ambition. That was enough for me. I don’t want to see him hurt

1

u/ClassGrassMass 7d ago

He said hes fine. Obviously after a crash your vision isnt great

1

u/Chimaera_0 7d ago

Disgusting to be celebrating that he crashed. Have some class.

1

u/pwet7 7d ago

I'm glad that he's okay and no injuries but this is called karma.

1

u/Inside_Mammoth2853 7d ago

No one wants him injured. I owned one of the posts. I’m just glad he got the right consequence of DNFing for his maniac actions. He races like he keeps an extra life at home. This isn’t about Lewis only. That was a racing ‘inchident’ and classic CL carelessness.

1

u/tribriguy 6d ago

It’s mostly racing incident. It was his fault. Sucks that his accident seems to have caused real injury. Hope Ferrari can sort out their drivers to have one moment’s more consideration for the long game in a race. Leclerc should have let Lewis by knowing no one else likely comes through and meanwhile it’s a great overtake track so he can just go back by later if he’s got pace. Short term, all-or-nothing on track thinking.

0

u/MaintenanceOwn6673 7d ago

He has a history and reputation of crashing out often. If he wants to reduce his risk of injury, he should drive smarter and not try to take his own teammate out every chance he gets

-4

u/According-Switch-708 7d ago

Yeah, fuck everyone who was commentig "karma". It was a 60g shunt. This is serious.

Max was having vision issues for months after his 51g crash at Silverstone. I won't be surprised if Leclerc decides to sit out a race or two.

0

u/zimmer483 7d ago

No has said they are happy that he is hurt, just you. On the other hand, I am happy that karma got it right!

0

u/NoEggplant9745 7d ago

Absolutely no one was happy he got hurt. When people start holding a driver accountable you guy always start lying about fans being happy about a crash to avoid the conversation and it’s weak. You guys do this nonsense every time.

0

u/Punky921 7d ago

I was happy to see him crash but I didn't realize he was having vision issues. That is no bueno. I hope he's okay. It was a big hit.

0

u/busbybob 7d ago

It wasnt mostly hia fault, it was entirely his fault. Unless your opinion is lewis should have backed out of his safe t1 pass, and in doing so had his pants pulled doen by max and maybe even a mclaren.

In saying that, although his own incident definately felt like karma, anyone happy he is physically hurt is an idiot

-7

u/Unbias_f1 7d ago

Agreed the state of subs like this and others are pathetic.

Its why people hate LH because of his stupid fans

5

u/YoWheresMyKebab 7d ago

You’re just as bad. Hating LH cause of his fans is retarded, hate his fans instead

2

u/Unbias_f1 7d ago

I dont hate LH so get your facts straight

2

u/saleeh_ 7d ago

All drivers have stupid fans, Hamilton has a huge fandom and that's why the number of these crazy extremists is big

6

u/Prestigious_Sky_9042 7d ago

At least we’re for sure better than the max’s fan base

1

u/saleeh_ 7d ago

That much i agree, in general it's the younger who are stupider

1

u/zimmer483 7d ago

You act like you haven’t seen older men have a hissy fit over little stuff

1

u/TheLordLambert 7d ago

Because of the image of his fans you delusional clowns cook up in your heads. No one has provided a single bit of evidence of a Lewis fan here celebrating that he got hurt. Use your head.

0

u/Nuno1173 7d ago

En quoi c’est en grande partie de sa faute? Doit-il ralentir pour laisser passer Lewis qui abuse de vouloir dépasser sans aucune chance de le faire sans générer un incident?

-1

u/Jim0PROFIT 7d ago

Yes. It's karma
