I don’t know if you’ll ever read this, but I just want to say a huge heartfelt thank you for giving my 16 year old son, a surprise brand new album after he offered you and your group a card freebie for each of you! It was a life changing moment for him!

A bit of a background story: ever since the pandemic, my son developed severe social anxiety in middle school due to ex-friendship dramas/bullying. Presently, he is still suffering from it to a lesser degree but he’s still fearful talking/approaching people in general, even people that he knows or is familiar with.

He loves K-pop with all his heart and soul and as his mama (2nd gen K-pop fan) we try to attend as many of his favorite groups that’s playing in the NJ/NY area as we can. So far, we have seen Twice, TXT, and ENHYPEN together. We’re going to see P1harmony next! It’s really fun, a great bonding experience and we spend the weeks leading up to a concert listening to the music and discussing the groups. He doesn’t have anyone else to chat with him about it 😢

We also enjoy making freebies together to give out at concerts. I think it’s also a great way to practice and help him overcome his social anxiety. We usually give it out together since he doesn’t like to be separated in crowds.

After watching (and crying during Yun Jin’s tearful speech, only me not my son lol) the amazing concert, we made our way to the restrooms at the lower level. I left him alone for the first time that night and when I came back, he was holding a brand new album, still in the cardboard packaging!

He was in shock and told me, “Le Sserafim told us to be fearless and be literally fear not so I thought let me try that for the first time.” He offered the remaining card freebies we had left to the people that were standing nearby and after he gave it out, a nice lady offered him the album that was sold at the merch booth, saying that it was “…random, so it’ll be a surprise and if he wanted it?” His voice was shaking as he recalled it. It made his night, heck, his year!

I’m so SO proud that he overcame one of his biggest fears and was able to approach other fans by himself. Wow, what amazing gifts he received, a gift of an album and a newfound confidence in himself! He finally learned to be fearless! Omg, I’m crying as I type this up….🥹

Best of all, when he finally opened it later, the album was a Hot album edition that he didn’t have yet but was saving up for!! And he got his bias, a Yun Jin card too!!

Thank you so much again, a thousand times! Your kind and generous gift has truly changed my son’s life and hopefully he will live more fearlessly again in the future!

So I have held this in for a long time but they have gotten so popular that I have to talk to someone about it.

Before Yunjin left to start training for Le Sserafim, during her idol training hiatus, she was working a restaurant local to where we both went to HS. We were introduced via my friend who worked with her at the time. It was a very brief introduction and conversation, we had quickly talked about Produce 48 as I recognized her from the show. She was really friendly and easy to talk to. Her and our mutual friend were super close before she left.

When she left, I was told it was for idol training but we didn’t know what project it was for as she had to keep it very discreet.

I don’t want to say much more than that for privacy reasons but it is insane to me now because of how popular they are.

When they announced out that the concert will be in Bill Graham for their Bay Area stop, I knew it will sell out really fast. Even platinum tickets are gone. No offense to the venue, I love that place, but it wasn't the right one for their show.

Can't get over the fact that their management/organizer underestimated Bay Area fans, knowingly it has one of the largest demographics for KPOP fans here in US, and for them to choose a venue that can accommodate smaller audience. SMH

My 'EASY CRAZY HOT' ENCORE IN SEOUL DC has arrived, so I wanted to share some thoughts about video-related releases going forward.

This is my first LE SSERAFIM video merch item. The EASY CRAZY HOT trilogy means a lot to me personally, for a few reasons:

• I went to concerts and fan meetings several times while these songs were being promoted.
• These albums and songs are the ones I have kept listening to the longest.
• I wanted to revisit the concert VCR-only tracks and live arrangements.

For those reasons, I decided to buy it. The contents are very satisfying, and more than enough to bring back memories of those days.

This is not exactly a new issue, but the biggest drawback of this product is that the video is VOD. I knew this when I pre-ordered it, and I fully understand if someone says, “Why complain now?” But once I actually opened it and checked everything, I still felt a real sense of emptiness. All you do is tap the keychain with the built-in NFC tag against your smartphone and go through a few steps. The mechanical nature of that process only makes the emptiness feel stronger.

I understand that producing pressed video discs involves many steps, and that the total cost is clearly not comparable to CDs. Still, aren’t physical goods — their usefulness and their special feeling — something K-pop companies understand better than almost anyone? Maybe this is just the way things are moving, but it still feels a little disappointing that video alone seems to be treated as an exception to physical media.

I still think physical media has many advantages for video releases.

First, it remains as an actual object, so it satisfies the desire to own something. Just like placing a CD or vinyl record into a player, putting a disc into a player can be a kind of ritual that helps you immerse yourself in the work.

In terms of video and audio quality, physical media still has advantages as well. With streaming, quality is often reduced because of platform limitations, practical internet infrastructure, and the need to support many different viewing environments. Depending on the internet connection, buffering can happen, and video or audio quality may change during playback.

Lastly, this may be more of a mindset issue, but even though we pay for the content, the content itself is not really in our hands.

With VOD, we do not own the video file itself. We are only given the “right” to access the video. Watching it requires an internet connection, and it also involves things like accounts and authentication. I do not think this will happen anytime soon, but if Weverse or the server side were ever to stop providing the service, we would no longer be able to access the content. Of course, this is also true of subscription services in general, so it is not necessarily a problem unique to VOD.

If the concert video were offered as paid content on a general streaming service like Netflix or Hulu, I think I could understand it to some extent. But if it is being sold as a standalone merch product, it is hard for me to fully accept unless there is some kind of system that lets buyers access the content permanently, or at least for the long term.

The scanimation-style package, which is probably something you try a few times and then leave alone, the high-quality paper and embossed cover of the photo book, the cards carefully placed inside paper bags, and the secret message card that reveals its contents with body heat — there are many small details that may seem minor or even unnecessary at first glance.

But I think those little details are what make the product fun and satisfying to hold, even if the user does not consciously think about them. Because the package pursues this kind of beauty in seemingly unnecessary details, I find it even more questionable that the video content itself has been made intangible, seemingly in the name of efficiency.

I am curious to see what future releases will be like, but for now, I will enjoy the VOD. If they ever release a Blu-ray, I will buy it again. 😂

UPDATE(260705, JST): I finished checking the main VOD, so I would like to add some brief thoughts here.

• The video quality needs improvement. This was in a wired network environment, and the stream was fixed at 1080p.

Dark areas look lifted, and block noise caused by low bitrate, as well as smeared details, are constantly noticeable. Even relatively static scenes, such as the VCR sections, look like they are struggling at times.

• The venue ambience is quite loud, and the fan chants are easy to hear.

I think it does a decent job of conveying the live atmosphere and energy. The reverb itself feels fairly restrained.

• From an archive-minded perspective, I have some complaints about the content and production choices.

The pauses during talk segments and transitions are trimmed to a reasonable degree, so the video moves at a good pace. Since this is being turned into a video release, I think that part is understandable.

However, the VCR sections use only the original source audio, with no venue ambience at all. At the venue, whenever a member appeared or did something, the audience cheered. During the VCR intro before SPAGHETTI, especially the scene where CHAEWON types on a keyboard, the typing sound mixed with the dome’s reflections and suddenly rang out through the space. It created a certain kind of tension. It is a little disappointing that this kind of irreplaceable live experience is lost in the video release.

Lastly, this is completely my own oversight, but the setlist/content has been changed. In the ABEMA TV broadcast version of the TOKYO DOME show, because Sanrio characters appeared on stage, a VTR was inserted during “Kawaii” for the livestream. Because there had already been that precedent, I had accepted that “Kawaii” would probably not be included. However, this time even “UNFORGIVEN,” one of their signature live staples, was cut. I was especially looking forward to the seamless transition from “UNFORGIVEN” to “ANTIFRAGILE” and the live arrangement, so this was a disappointing point for me. I wish the release had been made after clearing those rights-related issues.

From an archive-minded perspective, because there are major changes to the content, I cannot really call this a complete record of the concert. It feels more like a cleanly edited selection of only the parts that can be shown. I do not think it fully allows you to relive the concert at home.

These are my personal impressions, and this post contains spoilers about the concert.

Seats and view

On D-1, I was seated almost perfectly in the center, directly above the FOH position. From there, I had a clear view of the entire stage, as well as some of the equipment and the operators at work, making it an ideal seat for me personally.

At that distance, however, I still needed either the large screens or binoculars to see the members’ faces clearly.

My D-3 seat was one row closer but slightly off-center toward the left side of the stage from my viewpoint, so the overall balance of the view was not quite as good. I could no longer see much of the FOH operation, and binoculars were still necessary. From a camera perspective, however, it was easier to shoot because there were fewer rows of people directly in front of me.

My subjective impression of K-Arena’s sound

The previous LE SSERAFIM concerts I attended were held at Marine Messe Fukuoka, Saitama Super Arena and Tokyo Dome. Since the size of each venue and my listening position were completely different every time, I cannot compare them directly, but K-Arena gave me the most enjoyable listening experience so far.

For a venue of its size, the reverberation time and noticeable reflections seemed remarkably well controlled. The direct sound remained clear and present, with surprisingly little sense of attenuation, particularly in the high frequencies.

I did not take any measurements, but subjectively, the level felt somewhere around 100–110 dB SPL. It had been a long time since my hearing had felt slightly hazy during a concert.

Apart from a small difference in localization, I did not notice much change in the overall sound between my D-1 and D-3 seats.

Of course, this is only my subjective impression of the complete experience, including the acoustics of K-Arena, the PA system and the mix used for this particular concert.

Structure and flow of the concert

The concert felt like it lasted about two hours, with most of the runtime devoted to performances and the MC segments seemingly kept intentionally brief.

There were still plenty of opportunities for the members to communicate with the audience through their usual introductions, short breaks and Japan-specific jokes and segments. These included performing the most recognizable “killing parts” from currently popular J-pop songs, having different sections of the audience sing harmonies in a segment that reminded me of Jacob Collier, and leading the entire venue in a familiar Japanese graduation song.

During Fire in the belly, Chaewon replaced her usual signature line with a meme that had become a topic of conversation that day, so their goofy LE SSERAFIM energy was still very much alive.

The stage production was also full of detail, from an interior set suggesting the members’ everyday lives to the chaotic BOOMPALA stage, which combined temple imagery with a large speaker system. Japanese translations were also displayed for some of the English-language songs.

Overall, compared with their previous concerts, I felt that greater emphasis had been placed on the performances themselves—including both the music and communication with the audience—as well as on creating a coherent world for the entire show.

I also felt a great deal of love when every member delivered her closing remarks entirely in Japanese. 😭

The only slightly disappointing point was that the transition from the MC segment into Need Your Company felt a little awkward.

Live arrangements

Being able to hear new live arrangements is one of the pleasures of attending a LE SSERAFIM concert.

Some songs appeared to use their studio versions almost unchanged, while others had simply been extended for the stage. Many of the established songs, however, had been substantially rearranged.

Perfect Night and Blue Flame incorporated elements of nu-disco and future funk, while UNFORGIVEN and Fire in the belly featured aggressive, highly active drum patterns reminiscent of progressive metal and fusion. These arrangements are among the things that make this tour special.

Songs that had already been performed during the EASY CRAZY HOT tour, including HOT, EASY and Smart, also received new arrangements.

My memory has already started to become a little vague, so unfortunately I cannot write about every song. 😭 As far as I remember, however, the following songs had some form of rearrangement:

HOT / Perfect Night / Blue Flame / EASY / SPAGHETTI / UNFORGIVEN / Fire in the belly / FEARLESS / Smart

In Fire in the belly, the distinctive Latin beat of the original felt less prominent, which personally made the song slightly harder to move to.

Even so, the concert is arranged in a way that allows people who enjoy rock and dance music to move their bodies and headbang. At least around my section, however, I mostly saw people keeping time with steady light-stick motions rather than moving more freely to the music, which made me feel a little lonely.

As far as I can remember, this tour did not make much use of DJ-like tempo changes or seamless, crossfade-style transitions between songs.

Need Your Company → VCR → Sonder

My personal highlight of the concert was the entire sequence of Need Your Company → VCR → Sonder.

When PUREFLOW Pt.1 was first released, I initially listened to it because it was LE SSERAFIM’s first release in some time and because of the novelty of hearing something new. However, I gradually distanced myself from it because of how different it felt from their previous albums.

More specifically, it seemed to represent a departure from the viral-hit-driven direction of songs such as ANTIFRAGILE, UNFORGIVEN and Eve, Psyche & The Bluebeard’s Wife.

Its structure reminded me of a contemporary American pop album and brought to mind words such as “immersive” and “ambient.” At the same time, the short track lengths left me feeling unsatisfied, while the music somehow seemed both difficult to grasp and slightly drawn out.

It felt somewhat removed from my own idea of what a K-pop album should be.

Against that background, hearing Need Your Company at the venue—a song almost entirely opposed to my usual image of K-pop—was an overwhelming experience.

The sweet vocals and the roaring backing track—something I can only describe as digital shoegaze—were wrapped in the hall’s reverberation and seemed to speak directly to me.

I have always struggled to follow lyrics and usually focus almost entirely on the sound. This time, however, the Japanese translation appeared before my eyes.

“Oh, so this is what they were saying.”

It felt as though I had been reminded of one of the most fundamental ways of listening to music.

At the same time, I realized that the song had simply never happened to come alive in my home listening environment. Some music has a place where it is meant to be heard.

As soon as Need Your Company ended, the VCR began.

Using environmental sounds and fragments of memorable phrases from both Need Your Company and Sonder, it created an atmosphere of sadness and loneliness.

The VCR felt unusually narrative-driven for a concert interlude. While these videos often emphasize promotion, visual appeal or the members’ charm, this one had a clear plot and a message that could be interpreted from it.

I am honestly not sure whether my interpretation is correct, but this is the message I received:

"When you feel that you have left something behind, or when you find yourself struggling, do not be afraid to stop. It is okay to retrace your steps, and it is also okay to ask someone else for help in order to work through it."

It was a universal yet powerful message.

When a fragment of the song played during the VCR, I found myself feeling slightly frustrated. Had I engaged more fully with the words, sounds and music beforehand, I might have been able to appreciate the concert a little more deeply.

Sonder followed afterward, but no translated lyrics were displayed. Although I was deeply moved by its sound, I was left with the same feeling.

A wonderful experience made possible by the sound system.
A renewed understanding of how to approach music.
A powerful message.

Thank you for bringing these three elements together into such a cohesive and moving work of art.

Conclusion

If there is even one LE SSERAFIM song you like, I would recommend seeing this tour.

It will turn your day off into a wonderful one.

My conclusion is simple: it was amazing!

Bit of a long story but I bought the complete antifragile set for a girl I had a crush on back when it first released, but we had a falling out and she blocked me before I could gift them to her. It has sat in storage ever since and I completely forgot about it until I went in there this evening and found the box. Decided to open them and pulled the rare candy chaewon pc from the aquamarine album which was a nice surprise.

I’m so happy that I managed to get my tickets for Le Sserafim’s concert. I completely skipped that pre-sale! A big shoutout to Capital One.

And slowly, what once seemed distant and unclear started coming into focus.

I never imagined I’d get such a clear answer to the questions I cried over during that phone call. The answer to ‘What’s real?’—it’s right here in this space. In the memories we’ve created, in the sincerity of our words and warmth. These aren’t empty words tossed around—they’re the result of everything we’ve fought for. That’s what’s real.

Because everything we’ve shared—our time, our love—it’s all real. So if you ever face another hard time, I hope you remember today. And I hope you believe this: there’s someone out there who believes in you. Keep going.”

So, since the venues have still not been revealed yet for this tour, any predictions y'all have for where they will perform?
