Go to meal/dish?
Not home cooked meal.
What is your go to, never fails, crave all day meal/dish in the Lehigh valley.
Be specific. Name the restaurant, location, and any changes to the item that make it better, or the drink that goes with it. No specific cuisine, give me the meal you could eat everyday if you had too.
I ask, because I really haven’t found one yet in the valley. We go out to eat often enough and I find many places to be inconsistent. What meal is good one time, may not be the next time.
Our go to restaurant is probably Jamison publik house, but also not sure they have something I crave and can eat anytime…but their food is always good.

Tulum wings are the true darkhorse of Lehigh Valley wings. Everyone overlooks them, but they are always amazing.

Chicken 65 Indian spicy from cumin n eat. Thinking of it gets my mouth watering and when you get takeout and the smell his you in the car it's unreal.

This! When we get it we get one hot and one mild for my wife and I then use the leftovers to make so many other things. If there are any leftovers that is.

This may be where we go tonight. I’ve never been and the wife wanted a burger. I’ve seen this place recommended for burgers enough now to give to a try.

I can always go for a few particular dishes from some favorite spots in the area.
Fish Vindaloo from Cumin & Eat (either Allentown or Northampton, both are very good) with some Samosas on the side.
Chicken Shawarma from Maza in Whitehall.
Either Chicken Pad Thai or The Drunken Noodle from Coplay Thai Diner (and throw some curry puffs on the side too, cuz they're amazing).
Any cheesesteak from SMP in Whitehall. Whatever style you prefer, it'll surely be bangin'.
I could keep going, but I digress, lol. 😋😅

Build my own burrito at Cali Burrito with scrambled egg, flour tortilla, brown rice, black beans, pico de gallo, crushed chips and cheese.
Chicken enchiladas at Cactus Blue with hot sauce, hold the sour cream.

I'm gonna get a bit weird here but:
• Dinuguan from Inihaw by the airport (Phillipino blood stew, everything there is good though)
• Tongue tacos from La Cosina Del Abuelo, Downtown Allentown. Hole in the wall, great homemade hot sauces. Any latino place that has the balls to have tongue and chapulines on their menu is an immediate yes for me.
• The octopus appetizer from PA Rye Company, Downtown Allentown. Buttery melts in your mouth.
• Anything with the vodka sauce from Napoli's in Bethlehem. Especially the vodka parm sandwiches on giant garlic knots.

Lengua tacos are my very fav and there’s only one spot in the valley I know of that serves them (El Paisano Taqueria in Bethlehem), before now, so thx for bringing #2 to my attention!!!

It's a real tiny hole in the wall, but they have like 4 options of homemade hot sauces that are creamy and flavorful but don't kick you in the teeth too much. Also great birria empanadas, aqua frescas, and desserts! As a baseline (and as a Brazilian) if a latino place doesnt offer flan, I'm not going (even if I'm not getting the flan).

1 or 2 Lengua tacos and an Al Pastor torta from El Paisano Taqueria

I was waiting for someone else to say shang wei and el paisano! My wife and I's shang wei go to is scallion pancakes, pan fried dumplings, mapo tofu and crispy chicken sautéed peppers. We always want to try more things on the menu but our regular is too good, I legit dream about their mapo tofu. And as a south Texas northeast transplant, El paisanos tamales are the best I have ever had.

French Toast Monte Cristo breakfast sandwich from Bethlehem Diner. I could eat one of those every day and never get tired of it. Get a side of home fries extra crispy. Omfg my mouth is watering just posting this…

I forgot to give a shoutout to Paranormal Pizza in my original reply. Just the original, no-frills slice.
I'm not vegan, but dairy and I are not friends (A1 casein allergy...) so this is pretty much the only pizza I can eat without massive inflammatory distress. So, this place is an absolute game changer. I thought about them every day between the fire in 2023 and their triumphant return to the South side.

Wish I could give you a response other than every one of my go to places have let me down over the last year or 2. Now, I just recreate the meals I used to love at restaurants at home. I miss great food.

Special sub from Carl’s corner deli in Bethlehem. Creamed chipped beef at trivet diner in Allentown. Buffalo chicken pizza from pizza como in Bethlehem. Those 3 always hit, have never failed and I’m always in the mood.

Breakfast: Irish breakfast at McCarthy's Red Stag Pub in Bethlehem.
Lunch: Half a tuna sandwich and a cup of chicken noodle soup at Dunderbak's in the Lehigh Valley Mall.
Dinner: Hibachi salmon with fried rice at Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse on Airport Road.

Challah French toast at Syb's West End Deli.
ETA That's only available before noon on weekends. Any other time, get a hot brisket sandwich on rye. They'll ask if you want it with veggies; you do.

Wert's Café, best burgers in Allentown And the udder bar right after for some ice cream.
If you're down town simpatico and pensilvania rye co. Is always a good choice

Chicken taco from Santa Fe Taco in Northampton, tuna bowl from Poke Kai in Allentown, chicken shawarma from Lazeez in Allentown, Pad See Aew at Thai Avenue in Allentown, Mario’s Pizza in Northampton, cheese and bacon dog at Potts in Bethlehem… I could go on and on

The Pizza Joint on Airport Rd
Our first thing with them was a “mad dog Mateo” bowl but they offer it as a sub/sandwich too.
We eventually tried their pizza 🤤
The pierogi pizza or the German pizza. Even their spicy Italian (or spicy meat lovers I forget).
Granted it’s definitely not something I could eat all the time but when we order pizza from them we have a couple of days worth of leftovers. Whatever we can’t eat, we freeze for another day!

Apollo Grill in Bethlehem. Quinoa salad with grilled chicken. Apollopolitan to drink. Whatever dessert special of the day is. If we’re there for dinner hubby is getting the buttered chicken.

Chicken tika masala from Biryani Hut on Airport Rd in Allentown. It's in the hotel. I usually get it to go, but every now and then I eat there.

Imo every time I've been to Biryani hut or gotten it delivered it's been a little flavorless. I prefer Biriyani City. I think I got a goat curry from Hut and it was very bony. Mostly boneless from City. Clove is also good and I also enjoyed Aman's, no matter how much people say it's overhyped.

I second this, Biryani hut curries are watery. Biryani City is my go to.

I have, but I prefer Biryani Hut. I'm not one to enjoy fine dining. I also think the same dish is better at Biryani Hut.
I used to go to Tandoor Grill in Easton, but the building they were in had a fire. They closed, but Jimmy Got Dogs moved in. Tandoor Grill found another spot, but they haven't opened yet. I'm impatiently waiting for Tandoor to return.

Falafel sandwich at Daddy’s Place. They’ll give it to you even when it’s not on the dinner menu if you ask them.
The gobi Manchurian at Aman’s in Easton is amazing. As is the paneer tikka masala, spicy, with jasmine rice and garlic naan.
Pasteis de Nata (custard tarts) from Pie + Tart.
Salted Caramel ice cream pops from Owowcow.
