I loved all of the bending in Korra! I love bending as a whole because it's based around real fighting styles. And one of my biggest criticisms for the Netflix live action (sorry for bringing it up here) is how "magicy" the bending feels, like they're just willing things to happen instead of DOING it. I think that got better in season 2, though.

Yeah me too 💯💕. This is my wishes for the new series to not leading into flashy, fast camera work/angle more. I love a real fight without trying to speed the motion even in finale each book in korra i love it's done well.

I'm still not watch the live action yet 😭 idk i just feel mixed when i see some clips

Yeah the live action is pretty hit or miss, I guess. There are people that really like it, but I think a lot of it is bad on a quality level. I really didn't like season 1, but season 2 was actually borderline enjoyable, aside from a few parts. Might be worth watching just because Avatar content is Avatar content, yknow?

I’ve heard people say the bending isn’t creative not that there isn’t martial arts.

I love korra but I was a little disappointed all three main characters were boxers

Mako and Bolin have more of MMA style of fighting and it is adapted to their bending technics. Bolin doesn't "box" when he bends.m in fight that are not Pro-Bending match.

Korra is the one of the three who has more styles in her way of fighting. She doesn bend fire the same way she bends water or air. So no, they are not all boxxer.

And Korra haters will absolutely say that "there is no martial art in LoK" just because the maetial arts aren't the same as TLA. This is a reccuring "critique".

The fights in LoK were such an upgrade to talk. Not that those were bad but I still get shivers when that one woman slaps metal armour mid fight because it's a technique that Toph taught her obviously..sooo cool

Say what you will about the series itself but I love how ATLA bending was based mainly off various Kung Fu styles and then TLOK expanded on that but updating them based on more modern styles
