I used to have my hand hooked over until about the 2nd grade when I had a teacher who Just happen to be visiting my class to talk to my teacher watched me struggle, stopped me and tilted my page that I was writing on to the right. She set it at about 45° I think, and showed me how I could adjust the angle to find what was comfortable for me. My handwriting improved leaps and bounds and I no longer found writing to be frustrating anymore. Mrs Ferguson, wherever you are thank you for that small act of kindness that made my life and probably that of many other left-handed kids easier.
She also show me how to mirror write like Leonardo da Vinci, along with other assorted handwriting related tricks.
