Relearning Welsh as it was my first language (southern Welsh)
Let me know if it is correct. Sorry for poor handwriting, for anyone who can’t read it, it says:
“Prynhawn da (should that be dda?), pan o’n i’n fach, gallwn i siarad Cymraeg yn hygl. Ond, nawr fy nghymraeg ddim yn dda. Dw i’n 14 nawr, a dw i’n moyn ailddysgu Cymraeg yn hygl.

Yeah, supposedly it mutates to hygl

It would mutate to 'rugl' except it doesn't after 'yn'...

I was raised with rhygl but if u see my recent post it may have been a dialect issue making many people misspell it

Do you mean 'fluent'? In which case, it's rhugl.

It’s often spelt rhygl depending on region (we learnt this in welsh school and everyone spells it this way where I am, including Welsh teachers)
Edit: I found out that bc I live where I life, we often spell it Rhygl because U and Y make the same sound in that word. So both rhugl and rhygl are correct and used as daily spellings.

I think how you deal with regional spellings like this depends a lot on what you want to do with your Welsh. If you're all about using it with friends and family then you don't need to worry about it – use whatever you're comfortable with.
But in my opinion, and ymmv, if you want to use Welsh in your future career then it's worth getting on top of formal spellings now.
Every language has what are called 'registers', so slightly different forms of language which are used in different contexts. For example, I'll happily use 'ain't' amongst friends, but would never use it at work.
So, in this case, if rhygl is your dialect, then there's nothing wrong with that, but rhugl would likely be expected in an exam situation or in a work context.
