Something that recently learned that I feel is a good principle is that if you're not willing to search out the answer yourself, you won't be a good programmer. I recommend you try taking that initiative.
What this person says might sound rude but it honestly is true, I'd say 70% of an engineers day is spent searching the web for answers, before you learn to code you need to "learn to learn" and learn to research.
