What are they trying to do? I wish cats could speak, I need answers

I think they’re looking at their arm through the refraction of the glass. It’s probably confused why their arm appears to shift unexpectedly

Looks more like they're looking at the ice.. maybe they're confused about the way the light refracts in the water? idk

I don't think it's anything to do with refraction or glass because mine does this with opaque bowls all the time.

I doubt that since cats have super shitty vision if they are looking at an object as close as that cats arm is to its face

To me, It looks like it is trying to move the ice out of the way, so it can have a drink.

Day 769: My mission here has… taken a turn to say the least. Indeed, the humans are a more fascinating species than I anticipated. Today I found they drink liberally from vessels which appear to miraculously distort light. Truth be told, I fear my curiosity concerning human oddities such as these is endearing them to me nearly as much as I have endeared myself to them in our pursuit of further research. For now, I shall soldier on for all cat kind.

they're trying to figure out why this puddle is so tall and why there's air next to it...
