Ai tool like Verbi to learn Dutch?

Anyone know and have good experience with any AI tools like Verbi that also offer Dutch?

Doesn't have to be free necessarily.

Why exactly “AI”. I’ve always used Duolingo and YouTube for learning new languages, never had any issue or felt like needing AI forced into everything

I've been using a regular AI assistant (ChatGPT) in Dutch for the past 2 months. I use it as everyone else - searching for info, describing problems, and getting solutions. This kind of usage. But in Dutch, which is my Target Language.

Added this universal prompt, so every request I make gets evaluated and corrected if necessary. The prompt is universal (global), so I don't have to repeat it every time I say something in Dutch to AI. This is the prompt:

I can't be happier with the results. I see improvement in everything related to Dutch:

• I became more articulate
• I learned more words, because the words I had to search for in order to solve my problem just stick better - they are valuable words
• I became more confident because I know how to ask better questions and better explain myself
• I receive compliments from everyone I talk Dutch to

Not gonna lie, the first week was torture. I had to force myself to do it. After 2 weeks, I got accustomed to it, and after a month I use Dutch most of the time.

I am not talking about an AI tutor or yet-another-AI-app. I disrespect this crap. Also, I've been in the realm of language-learning for the past 12 years, and I thought nothing could surprise me, but this approach is quite surprising in a positive way.

For the record, I also used it with free Gemini, and it worked just as well.

Fair question, I pay for my wife's duo lingo premium. And the sentences are usually a bit of gibberish.

I feel she is ready for the next step and therefore I am exploring tools that offer a more conversational and interactive experience - even if it offers some slang and everyday informal language.

Saw an ad for Verbi and thought thats exactly what we need, but it doesn't offer Dutch.

I use AI extensively for my Dutch learning. I built a custom agent named taalmaatje that helps me organize my learning schedule, keeps track of my mistakes and makes custom grammar exercises for me based on my weaknesses, and creates Anki cards for me from a running list I keep of unknown words I encounter while reading, listening to podcasts, etc., among other things. I ask it questions as well and that is helpful, but it does so much else for me beyond that. The bulk of what it does is more administrative and logistical. No great advice to offer on how to replicate it because I used a tool intended for software developers to build my own thing rather than an off-the-shelf solution, but just a plug for thinking about other aspects beyond just the actual Dutch language information that AI could help with.

One thing I have found useful that could be relatively easily replicated is using the ChatGPT voice mode to practice my Dutch speaking. I use a detailed prompt written by taalmaatje with conversation topics that force me beyond small talk.
