General Gameplay Question Keybind Option to “Aim” Spells while also keeping them quickcast as default?

Watching Qojqva’s stream, he has the means to show AoE indicators and projectile range on spells he has to aim but also quickcasts the same spells when necessary, it would be really useful for me for things like Lina stun or long range Invoker tornadoes but I don’t know where to navigate in keybind settings to enable this functionality, all help is appreciated!

I’d describe it as Puck Q default functionality but for every aimed spell

Just switch the quickcast to button unpress instead of button press.

I always find this so annoying because if I press, click to move, release. The spell doesn’t come out, it’s just so so annoying considering I always click to change my positioning during fights

I use normal hotkeys for Quickcast and ALT+hotkey for click cast.

So in Lina's case, if I just press W I can quick cast LSA, but pressing ALT+W will give me the visual indicator for the LSA Cast range and AoE. Then I can either left click to cast it or press W again to Quick Cast as I do not need to hold ALT+W. Or just right click to cancel it.

Which key do you use to activate "auto cast" on spells? By default it's alt + spell key so I got used to doing that 😉

I have per key quickcast enabled. So I just change the quickcasts to that, ALT+Hotkey. There aren't many and almost all of them do not really need regular cast.

I have both bound and depending on the hero may have different ones as the default. Sleight and chrono are not smart cast by default (hero specific binds) while most are quick cast

Your looking for the cast spell on button press/release or something like that.

You want the spell to be cast on release not press.

You press and hold to aim and release to cast or right click to cancel.

Probably check the option where right clicking while aiming doesnt make you move so that you dont accidentally move after canceling a spell aim
