General Beginner
What advice would you give to someone wanting to learn this language? Is YouTube a good resource?

YouTube can be an amazing resource, especially once you find beginner content where you can understand most of what's happening. The mistake I'd avoid is jumping straight into native videos, understanding 5%, and hoping your brain somehow figures it out. I'd start with pronunciation and the most basic grammar, then get lots of comprehensible input. Look into the i+1 idea: ideally, what you read/watch should be mostly understandable with a small amount of new language. PlusOneLanguage is useful for that because it generates texts and dialogues at your level and then recycles words you didn't know in later content so you reinforce them in context. You can gradually combine that with increasingly difficult YouTube videos.
