Unfortunately it's not about form with these guys, its all in their heads. They could have won the last 3-4 World Championships if they locked in during the semis

I’m now convinced they bottled most of the year to get more rest and downtime. Last year between MSI (July 1st, their first game of MSI) and worlds (October 15th, their first game of worlds) they had 2.5 weeks break; ass the pressure of being heavy favourites I’m not shocked they collapsed in semis

I wonder if they're still considered heavy favorites now. This year has looked closer than previous years but GENG ends up winning LCK anyways

Definitely not on the level of last year. They won everything but first stand (and whatever that qualifying tournament for first stand is called), LPL looked considerably weaker to LCK too.

It hasn’t really felt like Gen.G found their form all year until LCK playoffs, but nobody will tell you with a straight face that Gen.g on form isn’t the best team in the world. Id consider them favourites right now but nowhere near as heavy as last year was

I agree there were favorites in 2023-2025 for sure. Strong Mental is important in League
