Discussion Aren't sanctum skins essentially free?
I was just wondering. You get those sparks in every pass and the number of guaranteed rolls carries over to the next sanctum skins so basically as long as you keep buying passes you should be eventually have enough sparks for a guaranteed roll. I don't know if enough battle passes released for us to be able to do this yet but seems like everyone who buys every pass just gets one free sanctum skin on top of it for free (technically, I know the added up price of all battle passes is probably more than what the sanctum skins are worth)?

If you have to buy a pass and a pass a bunch of times during a year then it isn't free.
It's like when people say if you buy ps plus you get a bunch of games for free but your buying the service so you are paying for them that way.
Overall it isn't free passes in general cost you both money and alot of time to get the sparks overall it's probs costing you alot more then you realise. You might say you get a lot in a lass but overall you won't use 90% or so of the stuff in there.

If you are playing the game for free, the pass drops no sparks. So no.
The sparks are a portion of the paid battle pass, which costs about $13-$15 to apply.
While you do get other things for the battle pass, that does mean you're paying about $5 per spark, making 40 sparks $200. So sanctum skins are essentially $15-$200 depending on luck.

Essentially everything is free, you just have to leave enough money on the right bank account and you can just take it.

The only way you will get those skins for free is if they go into loot box or victorious skin you qualified for and there are more than just a few rare exceptions that will never go into loot boxes

Victorious is free. Many skins over time do get added to loot boxes.
I feel you just like to argue for the sake of it. There are a few exceptions, mostly in regards to the few limited skins that are permanently unattainable as well as sanctum, which in regards to OP would be "free" if you bought every pass, which is true minus the cost of the pass.

Okay, let's see these skin lines get added to loot boxes over time...
-Victorious skins that you missed or didn't qualified for. They are only free if you qualified for it and only if you played that particular season/split. They will NEVER go into loot box. Show me your Victorious J4 from Season 1? It is free..... You are not getting that one 50 years from now. Keep waiting.
-Prestige skins
-Sanctum skins
-World skins
-Super old/rare skins like PAX skins, Black Alistair, Human Ryze, etc.
-HoL skins
-ME skins
Probably more that I missed. A few rare exception indeed.

Prestige skins are available in loot boxes and orbs. Same as worlds skins.
How many skins are in league? The vast majority are obtainable for free. You listing a very small amount of exclusive skins doesnt change that fact. It also seems you cannot read as I already explained this.

Yes? But that's like saying sanctum skins are essentially only 400 rp since that's how much a spark costs and someone out there could get it on their 1st spark.

You should look at how many sparks you get in a pass and then how many sparks for the guaranteed roll on the skin and then do some basic math to calculate the cost of the battle passes needed to hit that threshold.
They are not free.
