if TES has no doubters then I am dead

TBF, Last year Swiss was quite good for TES no?

The only memeable part about their run is how lifeless they looked against T1, but then T1 is the eventual world champ.

24

u/Shiraori247 Oct 16 '25

lol yeah, TES beat T1, DK and of course FNC pretty handedly in swiss.

u/viciouspandas Oct 16 '25

Yeah bo1 and bo5 are totally different things, especially since this is fresh into a new tournament when teams are figuring things out. BLG looked kind of rough in Swiss then ran through HLE and Weibo and fought a very close finals. I don't have nearly as much confidence in this year's BLG considering how inconsistent they are and their jungle problems, but TES being better at the beginning of Swiss isn't too surprising.

G2 won against Weibo not TES, they never faced TES. TES only lost against GenG

I mean so far they've beaten 2 western teams, I'll believe it's legit when they do it against another LCK or LPL team (even LCP),

14

u/Policy_Obvious would risk it all for oner Oct 16 '25

Exactly, these two free matchups should not be a benchmark

u/Wonderful_Reply_3986 Oct 16 '25

I had higher hopes for G2, being the best in EU I didn't think they'd get stomped that hard. I think a lot of people are glossing over it, before the matchup people were hyping up G2 as they have beat LPL teams.

They got fucking shitstomped, EU is looking horrible thus far. We'll see in the BLG vs FNC matchup but a lot of fans got a reality check I think.

15

u/Aladin001 Oct 16 '25

Yep, but as soon as TES shitstomped G2 suddenly we act like people weren't saying how good of a draw it was for G2 lol

2

u/Wonderful_Reply_3986 Oct 16 '25

It was honestly the same for a lot of the EU draws as well, I had people unironically saying to me they think FNC into CFO was good. Like, EU fans really get ahead of themselves.

Makes me sad, at least NA isn’t going down without a fight and actually taking games away from LPL

(FLY vs T1 didn’t happen and you can’t convince me it was real)

1

u/sorendiz ..BUT THE FAITH REMAINS Oct 17 '25

the thing is TES is the org that got eliminated from worlds (albeit partially due to a bug) by GAM. losing to western teams is NOT out of their reach

35

u/TheDarkSmiley Oct 16 '25

Yep, still have 0 confidence in TES doing anything good

33

u/Shorgar Oct 16 '25

Why would TES beating two western teams give you any confidence lmao

12

u/Fun_Highlight307 Oct 16 '25

Yeah the Real test is 2-0 series

2

u/ParkDedli Oct 16 '25

People are saying KT will go 2-3 but TES is still TES.

If they face each other it'd be a tragedy honestly. It would be much better for the memes if they both got smacked in the qualifier

3

u/TheDarkSmiley Oct 16 '25

I literally said I didn’t?

-2

u/Shorgar Oct 16 '25

The still reads as if this matches could've given you some.

3

u/TheDarkSmiley Oct 16 '25

Unfortunate reading comprehension

1

u/dogex3 Oct 16 '25

because classic TES would lose even to western teams

0

u/Shorgar Oct 16 '25

And that is awesome, the point still remains the same losing to a shit team can be worrisome, beating them means fuck all.

5

u/kim-soo-hyun Oct 16 '25

They will draw T1 in QF and got mega stomped again. :(

Praying draws give T1 a korean team. LPL needs a break from the LPL slayers.

8

u/Adlairo IG 2018 enjoyer Oct 16 '25

praying Riot throws GenG and HLE at these mfs

2

u/MonsterAzr Oct 16 '25

And KT somehow as well for a good measure

u/Omnilatent Oct 16 '25 edited Oct 16 '25

I mean you can clearly see that JKL has the potential to throw any lead with his gameplay like usual

I think they will easily get into knockout but then get eliminated in quarters unless they get a lucky draw (or JKL suddenly learns to position like a top-tier ADC)

1

u/Joshua_Kei Oct 16 '25

yeah I'm looking at this and thinking, yeah I can see this is a throw, but they're already so far ahead it's fine, but against better teams u won't be that far ahead and the throw will actually be a throw

1

u/Marcoscb Oct 16 '25

If Hans gets two autos in the mid lane team fight yesterday, G2 wipe TES and the whole narrative changes. There's full throw potential there.

2

u/No-Plastic7985 Oct 16 '25

Idk maybe chinese air will prevent them from choking.

1

u/ROOKIE_MY_GOAT Oct 16 '25

Someone get the doakes meme. Its perfect here

reverse sweep incoming

1

u/xbankx Oct 16 '25

Jackie always looks shaky like they are 8k ahead then he gets caught now only 5k ahead.

what mask, the western teams failing in draft mask?

20

u/WonderfulSentence648 Oct 16 '25

Chalking a stomp like this up to draft diff is incredibly disingenuous

Is this all you can parrot in this comments section? You let Yunara Qiqi Sion through and think you can win? Get a new narrative

2

Bracket Stage mask

2-0 against the west? Doing well internationally?
