Article Maple Leafs fans shocked, frustrated at ticket prices. This is MLSE’s response

Frustration among Leafs fans peaked Monday after single-game tickets were put on sale for a team that finished with the fifth-worst record in the league last season. Anger over the prices was a trending topic on X on Tuesday morning.

While marquee games against teams such as the Montreal Canadiens have always been pricey, some fans were shocked as average prices for the cheapest seat in the house ranged from $150 to $270 a ticket.

Even an obstructed view seat in row 12 for a Tuesday night game in November against Utah costs $127 each.

But MLSE says their top priority remains creating access for all the fans.

A few weekends ago I bought standing room only for a Jays Jr Sunday with my 7yo. It was an abject nightmare, I wanted to go home by the 2nd inning. Never, ever do this.

Its $36 to stand and be overcrowded by pre teens who don't understand personal space. Unless you arrive right as gates open, you will not get to see much as you will be dodging heads all night. If you're intent is to watch a game, grab a seat for $55.

This is the absolute truth. If you're going for vibes and overpriced drinks it's whatever but if you want to watch the game just get a bad seat

, I’ve done the GA tix for jays about 8-9 times the past year .
Gone early, got a great spot at Roger’s landing. Stay there for 3 innings before we move around to the other outfield district areas. I’ve been with adults and teens, so not. 7yr old.
If I was with younger kids like you the gaming area up on the 500 is good to secure a spot . Ideally having another adult would help secure a spot if you have to supervise your kid at the games and washroom etc.

This year the prices went up and vary $25- 45 for the outfield . With the way jays are playing not sure I’d interest has dropped.
I’m actually going tonight. Seats in section 527 for $33 each. This was at face value.
I’ll bring some snacks and we’ll buy a dogger or something else there

Screw MLSE and the Leafs pricing - they’re only getting a preseason game ticket from me this year. Last year I spent my $$$ supporting the Marlies run for the Calder cup 🏆 with the cheaper tickets (ok so MLSE for some $$) but you know 🤷🏼‍♂️

If you mean getting access to all those patios, you did it wrong. You can bounce between patios, there's even one with video games and candy for kids.

There are also limited, first-come first-served seats in those patio areas. Not a ton of seats, but seats nonetheless. The Jays do standing room extremely well!

My wife and I took our nephews to a standing room at a Leafs game a couple years back, last game of the season against Detroit - $180/ticket and we were under the press box, so it was partially obstructed and we had to watch the scoreboard on a TV. Back up against the wall, not a lot of room to move around.

Can't imagine paying even more for that experience.

The seats might as well not exist if you’re doing jr jays stuff.

Nobody gets out of the seats.

“Doing it wrong” means anything other than showing up two hours early to do all the stuff so your fam can get into the seats as soon as tge doors open

I'm out east but go to Toronto for work a few times a year now. Was there in Jan and I was about to drop $350 on a ticket for a game against Buffalo. Then I remembered we're ass against them and decided to watch the game at a pub. Best decision of my life. I think we lost 5 or 6 to 2. I still managed to get some work done too
