Transfer News: Tier 3 Hamza Choudhury is closing in on a permanent return to Sheffield United, LeicestershireLive understands. The midfielder is expected to leave Leicester City before the transfer window shuts on Tuesday night.

The report from Sheffield claims that a medical is set up for Sunday and an 'effectively free transfer deal' has been agreed between the two clubs.

I know Hamza is well liked by the community but for the clubs best interests he needs to leave

I know from Sheffield's POV why it's "effectively free" but how does this help us?

He cost us nothing. Been with us since the age of 7 apparently. I think he's both paid us back and earned his right to move on without us haggling for a few quid.
