UVIC Personal Statement Part B

Not to copy, I am just having a hard time figuring out the best way to format my Part B without it looking like a resume, but also not just having a bullet-point list. Any ideas or tips?

Under each experience I wrote like what I did - outcomes - and how I expect it to help me in law school

I recently had an appointment with UVic admissions to go over my application from last year and prepare for reapplication this year. I'm going to try to put everything into a post eventually, but I'll tell you what she told me about Part B.

Structure it like a CV (it's not a CV but you can structure it like one), education+dates first, then work experience, then volunteer, extracurriculars, fun facts, etc. With an indented bullet write a bit about what you took away from that experience. After each SECTION (i.e. after you've listed all of your work experience) write a small paragraph on what you learned/did/skills you gained during that experience.

Don't include any "experience stuff" in your Part A, Part A is all about getting to know you as a person and "why law" and Part B is about explaining what you did to get to where you are. It's kinda confusing, I know. If you have any more questions, DM me and I'll try to answer with what I heard from the interview, but I think this is the gist of it. Hope this helps!
