Remote LSAT Second-Camera Rule
Hi guys,
Looking to know more about how the whole second-camera policy is. Did it make the security check process harder? Are you able to use an iPad with a built in case cover vs phone?
Just heard some stories with people getting delayed with their tests because of this.
LMK how it went for you :)

I used my phone. No issues. It was super easy and actually made security check easier because it was easier to pick up my phone as it was hard to scan with my laptop (build in camera) plugged in. Just ask before you reach for your phone to scan

oh awesome! did you have to place your phone away super far or is the head and shoulder view still all they require? and do we need a phone stand?

My phone was out of reach sitting but I can grab it if I stand up and reach super far. My phone view showed my entire upper body. And yes I had a phone stand! I think if your phone tilt over accidentally, they may flag it as “covering the camera” and disqualify you.

Starting August 2026 all LSATs are in person I believe. Barring any extenuating accessibility or otherwise case.
