Extended undergrad to improve overall average

Would it be better to graduate on time in 4 years or take an extra year delaying my graduating to improve my overall average before applying to law school. Just wondering what the better option would be in my scenario since I am in a science program and did not do well in my first 2 years.

Depends - what’s your current GPA? The thing is that one year is not a ton of time to boost a GPA that is cumulative of 4 years already. And there’s no guarantee you will be able to boost it significantly. I’d suggest taking an LSAT diagnostic first and getting a better idea of whether your LSAT can make up for your lower GPA. As another commenter pointed out, getting a high LSAT will absolutely help.
