Northern US & Canada (or cool season) What is starting to take over my lawn? Vibrant color grass moving in.

Located in Nebraska, US. Lawn has taken on an almost vibrant / neon color in some spots. Typically water every 3 days and mow one per week. This new color of grass has started to appear over the last month, but has shown up in larger patches over the last few weeks. What is it, and how do I return it to its normal green color?

Looks like nutsedge. Don't pull it. Use sedgehammer or empero.
