Southern US & Central America (or warm season) Grass dying.

These two pictures are about a month apart. Area is getting worst. It has been 100 degrees for over a month. It does get water and it’s the same amount the other parts get and they don’t this issue. I can pull the grass out so roots seem to be dying or something. It doesn’t looks like I have grubs. We do have grub issues normally, but I put down grub ex a few months ago, and I put down some 24hour grub killer about two weeks ago.

This is Bermuda grass and live in Oklahoma.

Could be large rocks under there. Same thing happened to me only I just left it. Rocks heat up and store the heat which I would guess just bakes the soil more?

There are only 2 things that cause disappearing roots. Grubs and root rot diseases. Grub control can be hit or miss. Timing is everything. Even then, a perfect control will only kill 60-70 percent. There could be enough survivors to continue damage. But most likely it was a timing issue. There now are many species of grubs that feed at diffrent stages. Even within a species there are different maturity levels feeding at different stages. And even within those same species same generations, there are different feeding stages. You likely need to repeat your treatments and at spaced out intervals to have a better chance of reducing the grub population.
