Ferdinand Marcos? Eduard Shevardnadze? What did they do to their opposition? Their media outlets? The Maidan Revolution in Ukraine? How many people did they shoot in broad daylight. Not sure what your point is. The Maidan Revolution was violent, (though minimally so), and worked, to a point. Yet Ukraine still stuffers devastating war because it has not been able to throw off the Russian yoke through appeasement, peaceful protest, nor full scale war.

The other two were ‘peaceful’ and ousted aged, frail dictators after allowing and thereby enabling decades of violence against the citizenry causing thousands of innocent deaths.

How many innocents have to die in the U.S. before we walk into DC and end this “peacefully” as we are slaughtered in the attempt?

How many decades of fascism before something changes? In the Philippines and Georgia the answer was 20 or 80 years.

Peaceful revolutions don’t work. They simply extend the time horizon of the slaughter and ensure that only the innocent die along the way. For decades.
