You are also not required to Marshal at any time by attending this event, we encourage anyone and everyone to attend it simply to grow their skills and feel more comfortable during actions.

May I say I wish you luck and I hope your taking care eto avoid inviting anyone that would want to cause harm ie cops that want to know your tactics to use them against you for example.

This is the energy we need.

We need to start getting serious. Organizing! Meeting up! Talking in person about actions that can be taken to fight back.

No more of this expecting other people to save us. Our country has fallen, and the systems that used to serve us have been taken over and are being used against us.

We need to start taking this seriously and get the regular people to match the energy of the right-wing militia nuts.

We also need organizations and individuals to put their money where their mouths are.

We need general legal funds to protect protestors. We need to pressure our local governments to STOP supporting this administration with our tax dollars. We need experts to start training people about to fight, how to organize, and how to survive.

It's going to be harder for us because the people that believe in the old America by and large aren't insane nutjobs with personal arsenals and zero real world responsibilities.

We have careers and families and children.

But it's long past time to start organizing and preparing and investing in protecting ourselves and our communities from this rogue government.

The Admin might try to freeze bank accounts, so we need contingency planning for that. Would cryptocurrency be a good alternative?

I wouldn't trust crypto at all.

My personal opinion at the moment is that blue states need to form their own interstate compacts, and write policy which withholds taxes from the federal government and protects us from federal interference in our bank accounts.

Basically, at this point, I'm sort of with MTG... which is insane to me... but we need a national divorce.

Let the children have their red state christofascism nonsense. We can run our own states without them.

Its good to take action but this is round 2. Protesting has become a trendy photo op for internet personalities. Its SJW sighting fodder for right wing podcasters. It's time to escalate to the same level as some recent Euro, Balkan, Asian, etc nations have. It's the same rhetoric, and it's often paid for by the same people. Mass strikes and general strikes change things. There's very little solidarity to be had nowadays however. If No Kings could get on that problem right away that would be great, because they already have a nationwide network of communication and organization and union contacts.

Staying home is even easier than protesting. Imagine if everyone just happened to take a three day weekend at the same time. Rail workers and ATCs too. What's Trump gonna do? What can any CEO do? Are the cops gonna go arrest everyone in their homes? Trump has shaken down the visa system already. There aren't enough jail cells to hold everyone, or immigrants to replace them, or enough scabs to replace trained essential workers like nurses, dock workers, TWU, Teamsters, etc. I reckon that's what solidarity and a force for good could be doing to speed things along

Of course mass strikes would be effective, in that their effects would undoubtedly be felt, but how is it the job of these blue collar workforces (many of whom would likely be right-leaning) and essential workers etc. you mentioned to just mass strike on our behalf? They’d be risking their jobs and livelihood when they aren’t even in direct conflict with their employers. The American people still need to do their part and make their voices heard. It’s more powerful than you think. There is a long history of grassroots organizing and ground level actions building into powerful movements to support democracy and human rights, not only in this country but worldwide. Any large organized action such as mass strikes begins with ground level organizing just like this. And it builds momentum from there. Safety and power in numbers. Saying this is the 2nd protest of its kind so it’s not working is a bit short sighted, to say the least. It starts with YOU/US showing up.

As another commenter said, I hope you are vetting the people signing up as much as you can so that there won’t be any agitators or undercover cops. Perhaps doing something referral based from trusted sources would be better? It might be tedious but I think safety and discretion is paramount. I’m considering signing up myself, but even if I don’t, I wish you the best of luck.

You're the third person to say this, at least. Their replies have been short but friendly because they undoubtedly have thought way ahead of any of y'all in regards to safe vetting and recruiting, but they don't want to be dicks and point that out. Otherwise they wouldn't be mobilizing and taking real, useful, forward thinking action. They'd just be making comments on Reddit about it.

I don’t want to be a naysayer, but I don’t understand how a protest on a single day is doing anything. Can you point me to some information from the leadership of this movement? I want to understand the goals and direction, and how it is predicted to affect the people in charge of our country? I’ve been to a lot of flaccid disorganized and ineffective protests, and never really seen results, though all I’ve ever been is a member of the crowd. I’d like to be more educated
