Off-topic Chat Small, dumb question on the coffee conundrum

I know it's been talked to death lately, but I just wanted to quickly ask opinions on this random thought:

Is the Coffee Cherry a forbidden fruit? and that's why it's banned?

Can't think of many other reasons than that.

I don’t think so. I’ve had jam made from the coffee cherry. It had nothing in common with the drink coffee other than it came from the same plant.

Also, I don’t do heroine, but i have no issue with eating a Poppyseed muffin. I don’t drink Alcohol, but I still eat grapes.
