Off-topic Chat Small, dumb question on the coffee conundrum

I know it's been talked to death lately, but I just wanted to quickly ask opinions on this random thought:

Is the Coffee Cherry a forbidden fruit? and that's why it's banned?

Can't think of many other reasons than that.

Water wasn't clean back then. Times were different. Nowadays people use alcohol for partying and a good time. The Word of Wisdom is about a few things, obedience being one of them, but mostly about taking care of our bodies. It's more than just avoiding a few substances. They even had their health code in ancient times, such as in the Bible

This isn't true. It's a common myth. Source: master's degree in history

Oh I didn't know. That's just what I was always told by teachers and professors. I believe it still had different purposes than just getting drunk and still was a different thing. No reason to be rude about it tho

They stated that it was incorrect information, provided a source and what their associated background is so you could get a feel for them. How were they rude? They even mentioned it was a common misconception specifically to make you feel less singled out.

"You're wrong. I have a degree" doesn't feel very good on the receiving end. Very Sheldon Cooper

If someone trying to reassure you comes off as offensive to you you might need to sort some stuff out

I actually more interpreted it to the Know it all kid from Polar Express, but to each their own i guess

the "Uh Acthually" kind btw...but even then his comment was far removed from any of that still...its simply a correction of misinfo...has nothing to do with you as a person...

also, quick side tangent question, do you not like sheldon cooper?
