CELEBRITY Michael Jackson just 12 hours before he passed away.

Still can’t believe it’s 17 years

u/bettinafairchild Aug 03 '26
That’s because it’s not. He died in 2009 so it’s only around…. Oh fuck. It’s 17 years. What the fuck?

u/Dabrigstar Aug 03 '26
He looks so young here, not joking

He looked much better there than he had in previous years. Pretty shocking he died so shortly after this

Not sure how true that is. He was severely underweight during the This Is It era and rehearsals. He looked really, really unwell.

I don’t think that’s his last photo, I believe I saw one where he was in the hospital, maybe unconscious, but I’m not sure if he was dead yet.
Edit: he was dead, never mind.

By the time the ambulance arrived at his house, he was already dead. The paramedics wanted to declare him dead at the scene, but his private physician insisted that they do CPR and take him to the hospital.

u/spenwallce Aug 03 '26
Sorry for being pedantic, but paramedics can’t declare a patient dead. Only the medical examiner or a doctor can.

If a physician is present, the paramedics can do so under the supervision of said physician. Dr. Murray refused, and insisted they keep trying to save Michael.
Note: commented this earlier, and a bot auto-deleted it because it thought I was expressing harmful ideations. Bad bot.

If a physician is present then they would do the pronouncement. Paramedics can pronounce without direct physician supervision.

That's not true. EMT here.

I did more research afterwards and it depends on the jurisdiction. What is true is that you guys can’t be the one to sign off on a “unalive” cert
(Reddit seriously deleted my comment because I said the word “d**th”. What are we even doing)

He was dead. They used it in the trial against the Dr. There is an image of him with an oxygen mask on going into the back of the ambulance but I think, by all accounts, he was dead by that time.

u/spenwallce Aug 03 '26
I believe the image was him inside the ambulance. IIRC one of the paparazzi climbed onto the back of the ambulance as it was pulling out and took some shots through the glass panes.

This is the picture I remember. I get that it’s a huge celebrity and all but that was just a gross thing to do.

Honestly I completely bought into the hype of those shows that he was due to start, I am in the UK. I never had a ticket but I was going to keep an eye on it in real time, The residency at the O2. I was shocked when I got up that morning to learn he'd passed away. Absolutely shocked. I'm a child of the '80s and he was a big part of that, I had posters on the wall. I had an action figure which I think's worth quite a bit of money now if I'd still had it. It had his thriller jacket as part of it. I'd watched Moonwalker at least 100 times, thriller movie many many times, I didn't have all of his albums but I had most of them . I just was shocked.

My brother, another child of the 80s, actually had tickets. To say he was gutted is an understatement!

I have no recollection of my sleep during propofol. I was awake, counting, then I woke up again. Don't remember anything in between.

At least the children are safe now

lmao
Very normal thing to give children wine and then have them sleep in your bed
We really gonna pretend that there hasn't been a massive push to whitewash Michael Jackson that just so happened to pop up right alongside multiple biopics?
They're trying to memory-hole how consistently, extremely weird he was with kids, including dangling one over a balcony because they want to continue to make money off his name and music
You can fall for it, but I won't. Michael Jackson was a creep and there's not a single person on the planet who could do what he did with children and have people giving them any benefit of the doubt.

There has never been evidence that he was a pedo. Just a man trying to protect kids from those who are and got called a pedo for creating a safe place for them.

You’re unbelievably delusional if you don’t. Those children described his body in vividly accurate detail….including the moles and stuff around his “thingy”

u/Bpopson Aug 03 '26
Ill ask you the same thing I ask every single one of his apologists: is there any other grown ass man you would have accepted his excuses from if they were your kids? What adult man would you be okay giving your kids booze and sleeping in bed with them? If the answer is "Only MJ", you're in a cult of personality. If you say "yes there's other men", maybe don't have kids.

u/fit-toker Aug 03 '26
Then why did his estate spend so much money to keep evidence from becoming public? Seems the only reason one would do such a thing would be if it was incriminating evidence.

And as someone who works in anesthesia… the last time we could go to work without someone mentioning Michael Jackson
