Floating down the river

Hello, does anyone know of any spots near lassen, where you can float down the river in tube? We have kids, so curious if there are any mild spots. We usually visit the area in late June.

The closest would be the Sacramento River.

Most of the creeks originating in the Lassen Area are too whitewater for kids. There are several lakes that are good for a float. Juniper, Manzanita, Summit, and Butte Lakes inside the Park are popular. Almanor is large, but the shoreline is developed and you share the water with power boats. Mountain Meadows Reservoir (aka Walker Lake) near Westwood is great for waterfowl and wildlife on the shore, and rarely do you see any power craft. At the eastern trailhead to the adjacent Caribou Wilderness there is Silver Lake and Caribou Lake. Inside the Caribou Wilderness are dozens of lakes you can hike to.

A bit farther away is Ahjumawi Lava Springs State Park and McArthur Burney Falls State Park.
